Great knife set
bought these knives for daily use as we do a lot of cooking. Thanks to staff at heinnie again excellent service they arrived the next day. What great staff they employ and my own company can only learn from their excellent service. Now about the knives. Being a knife collector i know my knives and these being Aus 8 are very sharp out of the pack. The handles are comfortable and the knives are well balanced. The price point for these is very competetive compared to global or victorinox. I used them today to cut all the vegetables for our xmas dinner and they performed well. The knives cut through all food items effortlessly. The only slight issue is that the blade steel is quite thin obviously to reduce weight and cost. The blades to have a certain amount of flexibility so they would not be viable to cut through bone on meats. The set is designed mainly for slicing and not vigorous chopping. As a set i used the cleaver blade more than the others but they were all very comfortable for long use. If you want affordable sharp and comfortable knives then buy these. If you want to spend over £500 then choose global knives but they perform the same but the blades are thicker. I may buy the steel bamboo set as well later on. By the way these being straight edge blades will be easy to sharpen and heinne have many good sharpening sets which im going to buy for these. A ceramic knife steel will also sharpen the edge well. So am i happy with the purchase. Definitely. If the blades were slightly thicker then a 5 rating would be justified. G salona Vital hygiene group CEO
