    I knew what I was getting here before I bought ... I'd already got my son a set of these for his 21st and have been using the slicing knife from this series myself for some years. Just beautiful to use, and the extra hardness in the inner layer means that a shallower than usual sharpening angle can be maintained. These are scalpels dressed up as kitchen utensils so be sure to keep your fingers well out of the way. Samura thoughtfully include a small Elastoplast in the box for such eventualities.

    Bought my son this set as house warming gift , fantastic value, 67 folds damascus with a 60+ hardness rating. Razor sharp from box and they have stayed sharp for a long while. Absolutely recommended.
