    Handy Pocket Knife

Posted by Kevin on 14th Jan 2026

Having lost my trusty pocket knife I couldn’t wait to replace it with another. I have multitools in my tool bag and vehicles. However I find them too bulky as an edc and prefer a good quality pocket knife. This knife is easy to carry in work trousers or jeans in the coin pocket. The blade keeps its edge very well and is easily touched up to razor sharp in seconds. I have used it daily and find it comfortable in the hand. The blades unlatch easily and rotate with just the right amount of friction. They feel secure when fully open and are easily closed with one hand. The finish on the knife body is good quality and the blades despite being used and abused already have no sign of corrosion. Very happy to have this as my edc.

    Rough Ryder canoe carbon

I could not make up my mind between this one and the Buck Canoe so I bought both and don't regret it, fit and finish is far better than the price would suggest.

    Rough rider Canoe High Carbon.

Posted by David Lamb on 22nd Nov 2022

Disappointed in this as the G10 does not sit flush with the bolsters at all,A huge gap running down the back too,Blades are sharp and stiff enough but i expected better,Nowhere near the build quality of my Cotton Sampler or Buckshot bone knives hence the Three out of Five rating,Shame really.

    High Carbon Canoe

Great service as always from HH. I love this knife, it looks amazing, it’s very sharp and feels great in the hand. A brilliant knife for EDC in the UK.

Rough Rider canoe folding knife, carbon

Posted by Matt on 8th Dec 2021

Great Knife. I have bought several Rough Rider canoe folding knives, stainless steel and carbon steel. They are solid/ robust , well made and very good value for money. They take a sharp edge as well. The carbon blade despite the surface treatment, can corrode a little at the cutting edge, due to sweat and moisture from being in a pocket, but that is inevitable with carbon steel, it takes a long time to occur and the treatment on the rest of the blade does a good job preventing further oxidation.

    Build quality and QC lacking

Posted by Ryan Curtis on 13th Apr 2021

Firstly, I love this knife, it's razor sharp, looks lovely, nicely balanced. One of my favourites to use. That said, the build quality is not good. The first one I had didn't close properly, and the blades were smashed up against the side of the liners. Second one is only marginally better but does close at least, haha. Still, decent enough for £18.

    Nearly

Posted by Henry Hoverball on 3rd Feb 2021

It's a shame there are large gaps between the scales and the liner, as otherwise this thing is built like a tank. However, the fit and finish are significantly worse than that of a sub-ten pound Imperial Sodbuster. Possibly one to leave in the toolbox for dirty jobs.
