    ROUGH RIDER CANOE HIGH CARBON

Posted by Philip Greenhill on 30th Nov 2020

An attractive knife with grey blades. There is no half stops on mine as well as the small blade being very stiff, neither of these points detract from it in my view. Shaving sharp out of the box which I've come to expect from RR, this is excellent considering the price range.

    Cheap but not too cheerfull

Posted by William on 24th Mar 2020

Service from our favourite vendor first class as usual. Knife is chunky and clunky, assembled by the myopic man on a Friday at quitting time. He clearly thought that including a gap or two would give the owner a place to store bank notes. Small blade sticks on the way open but thankfully closes perfectly. Fishing buddy loves this he shall have it, not even worth the low price paid.

    Brilliant

A1 fit and finish. You get the benefits of carbon steel, but without corrosion. Cannot fault this knife. Looks good and feels good. Very pretty and functional item. Great service from HH as usual as well.

    Brilliant quality, solid canoe.

This is one of my favourite knives. Carbon blades are thick and solid and the whole knife feels a lot more chunky and substantial than other canoe pattern knives from RR. Highly recommended.

What a lot of knife !!

Posted by Robin on 12th Mar 2019

This is my third Rough Rider knife from Heinnie Haynes and again what a lot of knife you get for the money ! Fit and finish out of the box get an eight out of ten , no slop in the blades which are razor sharp on their entire lengths . It's small and discreet and the black g 10 scales and titanium coating on the blades add to the low key appearance of this little knife . There are minor finishing flaws , but for £18.00 I get a classy little gentlemans knife which is up there with the best of them ! Get one before someone decides the price is too low !

    side play on both blades

Posted by John on 7th Jun 2018

Next day deliver for free over £30 thanks Heinnie and free returns. Now to the knife, Both blades had a lot of side movement, and there is no way to tighten up the blade so i have had to return it, shame as my other Rough Rider Canoe knives have been fine. John.

    Superb product

    Posted by 243 on 7th May 2018

Ordered Thurs. & got it Fri.by standard post! This is a true bargain at its marked down price of £14 due to being stamped as SS in error. Thicker carbon steel than the ss versions & takes & holds a good edge. Titanium coated blades with no play that snap into place - lovely! Looks great & is very well finished - a great UK EDC.

    Nice little knife

Posted by Bruce on 5th Mar 2018

Fine little knife and very sharp out of the box. With the carbon blade it should be easy to keep that way. The little RR motif in the handle fell out immediately but with our old friend Gorilla glue it was easy to put right. Good value!

    Quality control

Posted by David on 15th Feb 2018

I have quite a few Rough Rider knives and they range in quality from flawless to sloppy. This knife unfortunately was towards the sloppy end of the scale.. I liked the fact that it is chunkier than the usual canoe knives from RR, and the blade stock is thicker. The trouble with my knife was that both blades had blade play side to side. That said, it may not be the same for everyone as I think it's the luck of the draw. Perhaps HH could introduce a picking service for an extra cost to check the knife over before shipping. Rough Rider quality control is a little hit and miss. Good service as ever from HH.
