It’s a stone
Good length, easy to hold and use, it does bring a decent edge to a good knife as long as you use it each time you use the knife, not sure how long the fine course will last but right now it woks well... get yourself one.!!

Amazing value for money. Great product, that will improve the edge of pretty dull knives. Not sure I’d use it on something I’d shapened to a high grit until the edge is pretty dull. It’s fairly course for a honing rod, you could practically sharpen on it.
It doesn't do much on N690 but on my 1095 carbon steel Utica B6 it is very good. Makes a quick sharp edge if you run it a few times and then just strop your blade a little on some thick cotton e.g plaid-type shirt.
Much bigger than I actually thought .but as a chef I find it really good for my work knives . Would have been five but the stick wasn't fixed in the handle .cheers
The image o the website does not show the real quality. Very comfort grip. The ceramic stick is huge & bold. Hopeful it will work perfectly and last. I would recommend it to everyone.
This is excellent at putting the finish that I require on my edged tools.
Wow ! I've never seen anything remotely like this cudgel-sized gadget. As previous reviews have often said, it is HUGE...and very effective. It is a finishing and touch-up tool and works best if your bevels are not too worn. In the interest of accidental chipping, I am not keeping this in the knife drawer, clattering and jumbled up with everything else.
Seeing the size listed does not do this justice, this thing is HUGE, It'll end up in the kitchen keeping those knives fettled. Was pleasantly surprised to see its made in Taiwan not Communist China. Service cracking as always.
This is a complete monster! A lot of sharpening rod for your money. Will last a lifetime, with some care, and great for honing those difficult recurve blades like billhooks and kukris.
