Arkansas Ceramic Rod

Good quality, effective ceramic sharpener at a good price - very useful.

Awesome price for a decent ceramic rod. Have one I put a handle on and another I use on its own. They work well on large serrations, basic sharpening, recurves and food processor blades. It is ceramic not metal so be aware they can break but this one is pretty tough. When they get blackened up they can be cleaned up a touch with scotchbrite type belts or wheels extending their life even further. Great purchase again and as ever HH ship quickly with good advice.

Found them so good this is my second order, put handles on them and gave to family who were also impressed. The larger of the two I use to touch up my kitchen knives, does a great job.the small one I take on camping trips . Brilliant for the price

I bought these rods because I have some Kukri - which have recurved blades - and I was told these would work. They are very good. They are a reasonably moderate grit, not rough enough to remodel an edge and not quite fine enough for stropping. But they are great for sharpening a dull edge before using a strop and honing compound for the final polish. They are also extremely good value. I have one size for EDC and the larger one for home working and for my largest blades.

Handy honing rod but very fragile so ensure you store this rod flat
