Small size, but really does the job. Best for small blades, but I've just touched up a 4 inch blade without a problem. This stone made me think of my grandfather, back in the US, teaching me how to sharpen my first pocket knife when I was 6 years old. It may have been an Arkansas stone. This was part of my first order from HH. I've read about the awesome service, but having ordered on a Friday afternoon, and receiving the order on Saturday morning on standard delivery, I was shocked. Great job HH!
When I ordered this sharpening stone been expecting something slightly larger. But now I think will find a purpose as a field sharpener due to its size. One star less only because of the size. But for this money I believe you can't get anything better. Superb service from HH.
This little stone is good value for money but not the best for me. Lightening fast Delivery from HH.
Once you learn to Sharpen/Hone on small stones this Arkansas stone punches well above it's weight. Better results than anything else I've used. All for under £3.
Bought this for sharpening my EDC blades on the go, really wasn't expecting much for £3. When it turned up, I decided to give it a whirl on my mini douk-douk, put a fantastic edge on the blade in about 20 strokes each side! Really impressed, I have a ceramic pocket sharpener in my bag which is good, but doesn't come close to this. I would also suggest getting yourself some decent honing oil for this stone, as it's really fine and will probably clog up quickly if you use it dry! 5/5 for lightning delivery, how do they do it!?
