Description

It's back! The return of a legend.

For years, Heinnie fans have asked, hoped, and waited for the return of this true classic. The Spyderco UK Penknife G10 wasn’t just one of our exclusives — it became a legend, our best-ever seller, and a firm favourite among collectors and everyday users alike. Now, after far too long, it’s back.

An exclusive is a special configuration of an established Spyderco model. Although multiple runs may be made, as its name implies, this, the Spyderco C94GRD UK Penknife Red G10 CPM S30V Exclusive is unique to Heinnie Haynes and only available through us.

Spyderco developed the UK Penknife after the United Kingdom prohibited the carry of folding knives with locking blades. Its refined design combines the defining features of Spyderco’s revolutionary CLIPIT knives with an improved, non-locking, notch joint mechanism. The resulting hybrid, known as a SLIPIT, elevates the functionality of trhe traditional non-locking pocket knife while remaining socially and legally friendly.

Made in the USA at Spyderco’s factory in Golden, Colorado, this exclusive expression of the UKPK showcases a leaf shaped blade crafted from premium CPM S30V particle metallurgy stainless steel. The plain edge blade is full-flat ground for exceptional edge geometry and is proudly laser engraved with the Heinnie ‘H’.

Not to be outdone, the handle of this knife features distinctive red G10 scales with a non slip peel ply texture. They complement the jimping (textured grooves) on the blade's thumb ramp and index finger choil to ensure a positive grip and outstanding control during use.

A truly unique expression of an iconic Spyderco design, this exclusive UK Penknife is sure to appeal to both end users and discriminating collectors alike.

    Exceptional

Posted by Singleagain on 29th May 2019

I was getting a little worried about this “ ordered Bank Holiday Monday, and not here by Wednesday? But of course it did arrive. Superb service as ever! I recently had two knives shipped from Hong Kong by airmail. They took three weeks to arrive, one was not as shown on the website, and the other was damaged. And of course, so called customer service' never responded to my emails. Thank goodness for HH's brilliant service! So, the HH UKPK. When I first started collecting knives a few years back I was not over excited by Spyderco products. Now I own a PM2, Sage 2, Sage 3 and now this UKPK, so clearly I have changed my mind! This is a lovely little thing. One thing I will comment on is it's action “ because everyone has said everything else. My particular knife seems to be very clever in that it is really easy to open, but really difficult to close. I don't know how they do that, but it works really well. I think this may well replace my Bestech Junzi as my go to legal EDC “ it really is that good.

    Ignore the hype

First of all I have to say that reviews written by people within a few days (less at times) of getting the knife in hand I view as pointless. You can't review a knife until you've used it for a couple of months to find its flaws. I've owned many Spyderco knives & many variations of the UKPK. And sadly after initially very positive first impressions I find myself a little disappointed with this variation. I bought 2 for myself & was gifted a 3rd from my wife, all of which have developed the same issue..... On opening the knives for the first time everything seems pretty good, after using them for a couple of months i've noticed the back spring has weakened considerably from usage. Odd when I have older UKPKs that are as tight as the day I bought them. I know how to treat knives & certainly never abuse them & I'm not one of those idiots that sits there opening & closing a knife for the sake of it. They're tools & are used as tools, i'm sure the folks that buy this as glorified pocket jewellery & never actually use their knives will never have this issue for obvious reasons. But for those of us that use them as intended i'm a little disappointed. Other minor gripes are the edges to the G10 required a light sanding as the edges were sharp & then there's the horrific pocket clip. Clip less of an issue as I just take them off as soon as they arrive. Now the positives, price I guess is OK although for the materials used there are other makers selling equally good knives for less. S30V is a decent steel so no complaints there, the red G10 looks far nicer in person than in photos & is very grippy compared to the FRN siblings. HH were great as always, first class service in every way.

    Excellent

This is the best UK EDC I expect to have. Previously I like the spyderco UK black plastic handle very much, but this is a much nicer knife. It locks better (always use the finger choil - it works!), it looks better, and it feels better.

I own many knives by top makers Buck ,puma,Eka,Helle but the finish on this wee knife is second to none.Shaving sharp out of the box easy one handed opening and closing grippy G10 handle can't fault it in any way very strong back spring won't close in use .Buy whilst you can you won't be disappointed .Wasn't sure about Spyderco knives until i spotted this H.H offering love it need to buy more well done H.H

Great UKPK knife, very well made, better spec with this version with red G10 handles, would recommend a light rub over the corners of the G10 as very square otherwise perfect - Have bought the Byrd Tern for everyday use as this is too nice to lose, and a BOKER Plus Worldwide for heavy duty work all from HH - Great Service !

    Best UKPK to date.

I've owned UKPKs since the original G10 model, this iteration is my favourite by far. I've already bought three, one user one safe queen and another as a gift for my father in law. Fit and finish on all of them has been superb. Well done to Heinnie and Spyderco creating what I believe will be a classic.

    Great value

At only just over a tenner more than the standard UKPK, I couldnt resist adding this knife to my collection. Not sure if mine was faulty but I found the back spring to be no stronger than the standard lightweight version despite being full length. Never had a problem with the old UKPK though. The blade arrived super sharp and the scales are nice and grippy.
