It's back! The return of a legend.
For years, Heinnie fans have asked, hoped, and waited for the return of this true classic. The Spyderco UK Penknife G10 wasn’t just one of our exclusives — it became a legend, our best-ever seller, and a firm favourite among collectors and everyday users alike. Now, after far too long, it’s back.
An exclusive is a special configuration of an established Spyderco model. Although multiple runs may be made, as its name implies, this, the Spyderco C94GRD UK Penknife Red G10 CPM S30V Exclusive is unique to Heinnie Haynes and only available through us.
Spyderco developed the UK Penknife after the United Kingdom prohibited the carry of folding knives with locking blades. Its refined design combines the defining features of Spyderco’s revolutionary CLIPIT knives with an improved, non-locking, notch joint mechanism. The resulting hybrid, known as a SLIPIT, elevates the functionality of trhe traditional non-locking pocket knife while remaining socially and legally friendly.
Made in the USA at Spyderco’s factory in Golden, Colorado, this exclusive expression of the UKPK showcases a leaf shaped blade crafted from premium CPM S30V particle metallurgy stainless steel. The plain edge blade is full-flat ground for exceptional edge geometry and is proudly laser engraved with the Heinnie ‘H’.
Not to be outdone, the handle of this knife features distinctive red G10 scales with a non slip peel ply texture. They complement the jimping (textured grooves) on the blade's thumb ramp and index finger choil to ensure a positive grip and outstanding control during use.
A truly unique expression of an iconic Spyderco design, this exclusive UK Penknife is sure to appeal to both end users and discriminating collectors alike.

So, I feel compelled to write an update after a week of fiddling around and using the knife at every given opportunity. The blade is superb. The S30V is strong and maintains a very sharp edge after even robust use in situations such as impromptu gardening, slicing through thick, thorny and tough bramble branches and even bamboo stalks nearly an inch across. Dig into the bamboo stalk and twist and the blade does the rest, cutting the bamboo off. That was when I realised the knife was a step beyond the usual pocket knife offering. During this task, it lost not one jot of sharpness and was ready to practically shave with, after only a cursory wipe down and rinse to remove sap, mud and crud. Back to gardening and my bulky gardening gloves lost purchase at a funny angle when trying to slice a really stubborn root. The blade slipped and went tip down onto some brickwork at the garden border. Cue a sinking feeling in pit of my stomach and cursing myself for a being clumsy idiot. Take look at the knife. Not a scratch. Not even the slightest chip. A little brick dust and with one wipe, a pristine edge remained. Amazed, I look at the brick. The knife has just laughed at it and took a slice out. I highly doubt that the steel on the standard UKPK would stand up to that kind of idiotic, accidental mistreatment and I don’t recommend going at bricks on purpose, but it goes to show, this knife and steel are no joke. Oh and of course, trying to be clever when closing the blade on my leg by hitting the spine on my thigh, I manage to misjudge the higher stiffness of the spring compared to the old ukpk and therefore bring the tip ever so slightly against my chinos. There is now a perfectly straight and neat half inch gash in my chinos. Luckily they were hanging loose at the time or else I’d have a nice little gash in my leg too. Be blooming careful with closing the blade! This one hell of a tough and sharp knife. My first experience with S30V and I am very, very impressed.
Absolutely love this knife. Waited more than 2 years. Don’t need say anymore as it’s said already
Its so good My only gripe is the colour of the scales. I wish it was the same as the othe HH knive scales. But this is a top UK Knife love the extra 2nd lock incase it folds on you 11/10 4 star because I instantly looked for new scales
UK legal EDC with strong lock and single handed opening, this lightweight knife has a slim profile and ticks every box in a quality package. I've struggled to leave it alone since it arrived and haven't found one thing I'd change, excellent...
I never normally write reviews but I think it's important to with items like knives. I have both the original UKPK and the Heinnie edition. The Heinnie version takes the original UKPK to a whole new level. The G10 scales give a much better grip, the original with the spider on the handle just looks cheap compared to this. The handle on the heinnie edition has great grip, the colour is more of a maroon with a slightly translucent look to it. I will say this though, be very careful with it, as the half stop is so strong that if your finger gets in the way then say goodbye to it (as with most knives). This knife is awesome, it's like they listened to the peoples problems with the original UKPK and used that info to create this product. I love that the removed the spider on the handle and in general really impressed with it. Great service from Richard and Marie too, thanks.
I’ve had three Hienne UKPK’s now . I gave the first to my dad and modded the second . My third is like the last two I bought . Perfectly centred . Lovely fit and finish and hair shaving sharp . I wish Hienne would do a collab with the drop point . This is better than the S110 . I’ve got one and this is much better value . Can’t see why anyone would buy the standard over this . An extra £10 gets you so much more . The finest uk legal slip joint . No . The best out there at present . I’d say so . At least until the UKPK Salt comes out .The usual impeccable Hienne service .
Absolutely great knife. Way stiffer than the original UK Penknife thanks to the longer back spring. Feels great in the hand. Definitely buy this knife before it goes out of stock again!
