The Snugpak® Bunker™ is an iconic three-person dome basecamp and expedition tent. The Bunker™ is a ‘Fly-First’ pitch tent that allows a quick and easy set-up with an opposing pole design, that keeps condensation build-up to a minimum. The inner tent is made of a No-See-Um Mesh Mosquito Net to keep out bugs, snakes, etc.

The Bunker™ will shelter you from the worst four-season weather, with a 5000mm hydrostatic head (HH) polyurethane (PU) coated flysheet, with taped seams. The Bunker™ has an impressive sleeping space, measuring 245cm/96” long and 205cm/81” wide, creating ample room for three people or two people with extra equipment. In an emergency, there is space to accommodate up to six people sitting down.

The sleek dome profile of the Bunker™ tent packs down small with a light trail weight of 6.2lbs / 2.8kg. Using tried and tested lightweight DAC® aluminium poles, it does not take up valuable space in your pack. The design of this tent allows the splitting up of components between multiple individuals to distribute weight.

In my experience, Snugpak kit is generally well made. The Bunker lives up to their reputation and exceeded my expectations. Build quality is excellent and the materials are both attractive and robust. Let's be clear, this isn't a 'family holiday' tent, its a proper working tool. I have only one regret and that is that it doesn't come with a decent 'footprint' to protect the groundsheet. It would add very little weight and the tent's integrity would last a lot longer. Honestly, I'm impressed!

Second review After 1 year use

Ok... after using this tent extensivly I decided to come back and make some additional comments. Pack size portability : excellent stores fine in a small backpack. Easy setup : excellent I have permanently the fly attached, it takes me 3 minutes to setup on a dark rainy night. Durability : very good. As a last comment, you need to understand that this is a military tent not your yellow backgarden barbecue family setup so don't expect it to be spacious with folding cup holders.... I like the idea also of two doors. The picture somehow on this webpage does not represent the actual product.

Its a love or hate tent.

I have a few tents of this size so when I unpack the Bunker there were a few things that I didn't like , for example I preferred a harder material floor and some parachord for the support ropes. However i liked the quality the rest of the tent is made of. Is nice and tidy , and can easy acomotade 2 people and a kid.
