Well above expectations for the money.
I've been using this a lot recently and it's been giving me a superb edge, this and a strop are all I need. It has carbides... just pretend it doesn't. Starting with the diamond, no lube no oil or water, just go to town, make an edge, set up the ceramic rods and just cut down to deburr, you don't even have to switch sides since it comes with 2. The only thing it needs is a leather strop to be frank. Maybe ditch the carbides and get a strop? I've glued a small strop under the rods, perfect blank space really and it's great for uk legal carry size. For the price this is easily worth it, it can and will get your knives to a razor edge if you work it right. Thoroughly lacking for larger blades though of course.
