The Maxpedition #0229 SPARTAN Wallet replaces the "over-engineered" PUG Wallet design. This evolution was driven by popular demand for a general-purpose wallet without the bulky zippered coin purse, making pocket carry more convenient. The SPARTAN simplifies the design while remaining highly functional and less expensive. It features multiple small compartments secured with velcro tabs to prevent slippage, two longer slots for carrying multiple currency types, and an external mesh pocket for quick access to ticket stubs or receipts.

The best wallet in the world. I have had mine for years and still looks brand new, and for less than £20, you simply can not go wrong.
This is a great tougher-than-usual wallet. Its a very generous size with lots of room for cards and notes while popping with compartments here and there. Very strong nylon and velcro - just like most Maxpedition stuff, its built to last. Highly recommended. Of particular note are are retaining loops to protect the contents of the inner note compartment and each of the card sections. If you spend a lot of time upside down then this is probably the wallet for you. Nothing is going to fall out! Once again Heinnie set the standard for customer service. Order it on Sunday afternoon and its in my pocket by 09:-00 Tuesday morning. Unbeatable!
I have had the wallet since April 2017 and carried it on a daily basis. Easily holds several Debit/Credit cards with room behind for other less frequently used ones such library and membership cards. I like the mesh outer pocket that allows my shop loyalty cards to be accessed without opening the wallet. The inner rear note pocket is well sized and the second note pocket easily holds a card sized tool and several business cards. The two Velcro straps inside the wallet ensures the main cards are secured safely. The wallet still looks in very good condition as I expected it to. Due to the overall size of the wallet there is a chance of the wallet slipping out of some types of trouser pocket, especially when sat, however jeans front pockets are perfect for the wallet. I look forward to many more years of service from this wallet and looking at the other reviews I won't be disappointed.
Now in its seventh (at least) year of service. The Velcro of the main fastening is just being to fray. I carry it in my back pocket every day. A tremendous piece of kit.
