    Outstanding piece of kit. Recommended.

Posted by Sarnt Major on 23rd Nov 2014

Big for a bumbag though quite a fine-looking piece of kit thanks to the typical Maxpedition over-engineering and non-destructibility. Can get quite a lot into this and it'll still conform' to body shape to be relatively low-profile. Wearing tip 1: depends upon situation but I like to spin mine round sometimes and wear it as a (rear) waistpack meaning you can bend forward and crouch down without encumbrance. Wearing tip 2: the adjusters near the fastening buckle do work loose as you walk/run etc., so leave them at their full extension and make your size adjustment at the fixing buckles next to the waistpack “ hey presto they never move! Now for the critical aspect: I said earlier about relatively low-profile, the small pouch on the front can contain quite a lot and so does protrude more than it should if a low-profile approach is required “ my solution is simple, cut the thing off. It does come away cleanly and leaves the three elastic loops in place, still useable. Also the price is high for a bum-bag, even if built to armoured standards and with Rolls-Royce quality “ though having said that I love mine and wouldn't be without it. By the way “ as a rear waistpack it's ideal for motor-cycling use. And one last good point, you can add small pouches onto the strap and so expand carrying capacity without compromising a low-profile. A 10 out of 10 rating. Would I buy another? Yes, without question. Would I recommend one? Most definitely. And as usual received the superb Hennie service, bought on day one delivered on day two.

The main compartment is slightly smaller than I had imagined but otherwise this is a remarkably well put together bit of kit, very pleased indeed.

    useful size

Posted by Steve on 9th Sep 2013

I tend to swap clothes a lot (work to M/C to cycling etc) and kept misplacing my wallet, keys, phone as I forgot which jacket they were in. I'm not a fan of the 'man bag' but having seen their widespread use on the continent can see the positive side of using one. When considering a bag it's got to be Maxpedition, the quality of their stuff is legendary. Ordered a black one, arrived within 2 days. Quality is outstanding and size wise easily swallows the sort of stuff you might carry in your pockets without being too bulky. I can comfortably sit on my M/C with the bag at the front or at the rear when cycling. Only really knocked it down as I feel the price is a little high when compared to other Maxp stuff.

    Great buttpack/versipack

Posted by Dennis Jorgensen on 16th Aug 2011

First off, great service as always from HH. Super fast delivery to Danish postcenter. This bag is great, only got it today, but since there's no reviews on it yet, I thought I would get one up anyways. I like that the main compartment has the same really beefy YKK zipper af the rat wallet for starters. It's not small nor too big for waist carry. Yes, you will not get any fashion awards for sporting a fannypack, but once you get over that, it's really a great way to carry your wallet, phone, keys, knife, torch, note pad etc. The outside webbing means you could fit a rolypoly for more options. I put a sea to summit foldable backpack in it too. Usual great materials and stiching from Maxp.
