I bought this from Heinnie (with the expected excellent service) and have used the bag every day for the last 5 years and it's been excellent. About 6 months ago I began to notice some wear to the hip pad and in the last week it's finally freed and exposed the foam pad underneath. I have to therefore either effect a good repair on the pad or (the lazy arse way) buy a new bag. I was amazed at the price of a new Mungo - much more that I payed - I expected it to go up a bit but £175 for the bag was a shock. I guess if you work it out to how long I have been using it it's pennies a day. I'll try the repair first I think. Quick points, the shoulder pad has a tendency to always be in the wrong place, it's not quite big enough for a 15" MacBook (13" is fine) and the cell phone holder is a bit snug for an iPhone even with a thin case. Bottom line would I recommend this as an EDC bag - yes - it will serve you well, keep your stuff safe and is comfortable even when fully loaded..
Great bag, but after only a year, the stitching round straps started to fail round the exterior rear pouch , and after 4 years being kicked round the desert the internal lining has failed, and the stitching generally is giving out, Beware that it is not as ergonomically pleasing as it makes out, as constantly perched on one shoulder does tend to afferct your posture whether you like it or not
This is an ideal EDC pack, not too big or bulky and comfortable to sling over your shoulder. Exemplary service from HH - there's no better service for online shopping.
I have had this bag for some time now, (in black) and it has not disapointed. I can organise my gear and still have room for any items I might get whilest in town, leaving my hands free. The build quality is fantastic. Very comfortable for me to wear. Buying one for the wife. Worth every penny!
Having a couple of young children means that when we're out and about we have a few bits and pieces to carry about. The Mongo is a great size as it is smaller than a traditional messenger bag but has a multitude of pockets and places to stow kit. It is very well made and there are plenty of options to customise it using the maxpedition pouches etc. It sits comfortably on the shoulder and a 750ml sports bottle fits into the water carrier pocket perfectly. I fitted 4 ligtweight waterproof jackets into the main compartment last week so it's perfect for a day out and about with the family.
