John Nowill and Sons have been manufacturing and designing quality British knives in Sheffield for six generations. The company name was granted by the Cutlers Company of Hallamshire on the 27th April 1700. They produce excellent knives and tools using the best of materials and traditional know how that can only come from over three hundred years in the business.
The Israeli commando knife conforms to the Israeli MOD standard. It has a Parkerised steel blade with the "Star of David" etched into the base of the handle. The handle is made from stacked polished leather. It comes complete with brown leather sheath.

( sorry H/H) And after giving it some thought purchased said knife got home & after a good inspection not bad at all . Well put together although could have been finished better.( a little scruffy) even grind & sharp factory edge sheath is adequate it is blade heavy but i like that. i feel this will serve me well as good all round working knife.....RECOMMENDED !!!
Out the box the finish was quite poor and the edge was blunt and it's the only knife I've had an issue with sharpening. Just get a Ka-Bar.
THIS KNIFE, FOR THE PRICE IS NOT BAD. IT TAKES A GOOD EDGE AND SEEMS ROBUST ENOUGH, ALTHOUGH I WOULDN'T START BATTONING LOGS WITH IT.AS I SAY, FOR THE PRICE, DECENT KNIFE. HEINNIE HAYNES WERE BRILLIANT AS USUAL.
I love this knife. its as good as any ka bar and is aesthetically better. mine is like polished obsidian. ( white walkers look out.)
Its not a KA-BAR but got to give it 5 stars , value for money , i seen a review on youtube and this beat blades double the price , i don't know why the sheaths are so poor , its definitely worth the money , i picked up a different sheath for it , 5 stars for the knife , poor sheath .
Having read mixed reviews on several websites, I was not expecting much from this knife. However, I was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived. For the price, it is good value and well finished. The handle is well made, and the tang neatly riveted over. Blade is very good, well formed, polished and then given a lovely blued finish before being lightly, and neatly ground at the edge. Not the usual Sheffield coarse-grind at all. Yes it is blade-heavy, but that comes with a strong rigid blade, and will need a very light honing to be shaving-sharp, but this is no criticism. The sheath is a reasonable fit, not perfect, but is made from supple leather and neatly riveted and stitched. To sum up, very pleased and would recommend. Heinnie gave fantastic service as always, less than 24 hours from order to delivery! Thank you.
Another great knife from Sheffield. Comfy to use, tough blade, and sure feel. It did need a wipe with a stoner to get the edge tip top, but well worth the money. Thanks HH.
Not a great knife,very poorly balanced (blade-heavy),and supplied blunt.However it is very reasonably priced.My advice? If you have the extra dosh,go for the KA-BAR USMC knife.It is truly superb in every way.
I must say this is a real beauty! I think for the price it is an excellent knife! Love the Star of David stamped on the right side! It's well balanced and feels good in the hand. Customer service from Heinnie is top notch!!! I received my knife in 5-days!!!!! Thats service! I would rate this knife a 5 but because the sheath is pretty much a universal and the loop to hold the handle is bigger than the handle so... no snug fit I gave it a 4. Over all I'm well pleased!
