A beautifully made Bowie knife that I picked up at an antiques fair in pristine condition for the bargain price of £*5!

An excellent solid work tool for forest and jungle

I bought one of these with rosewood handle about 15 years ago. It is an outstanding knife for cutting and chopping. Solidly built and with a good heft, it will never let the owner down. Definitely a "best buy." Due to the outstanding workmanship it also makes an excellent showpiece. Highly recommended!

    AWESOME.

THIS IS AN AWESOME, MASSIVE KNIFE. ONLY ONE REAL MOAN IT IS AS BLUNT AS BLAZES AND WOULD HAVE TROUBLE CUTTING BUTTER. IT IS FAR TO HEAVY TO HAVE AS A CARRY KNIFE, IT IS HOWEVER A WONDERFUL EXAMPLE OF BRITISH KNIFE MANUFACTURING. MINE WILL GO IN A DISPLAY CABINET AND WILL I AM SURE MAKE FOR A CONVERSATION PIECE . BEARING IN MIND THE COST IT IS REALLY ALMOST TO GOOD TO USE. THE STEEL IS VERY HARD AND WILL BE A JOB PUT AN EDGE ON IT . I WOULD LIKE SOME IDEAS ON THAT.

This is as fine a bowie as I have in my collection of over 500 knives. Beautifully balanced, meticulously finished and great to hold. English craftsmanship at its best.

    Wrong steel in ad

This knife is 1095 CARBON steel. I've seen many sheffield knives with incorrectly labelled steel on this website, sort it out!
