    Lovely traditional knife

Posted by Andy B on 19th Sep 2016

Very fine traditional knife. Quite a heavy weight due to its mainly brass construction. Finished reasonably well. Perhaps not as 'polished' as some far eastern knives. Very sharp blade, mine came with a solid lockup. Unfortunately too big and not street legal for EDC use but essential for out in the wilds. I've reluctantly dropped one star. The leather pouch is not great. The leather has significant defects in it More importantly on the spine of the blade were two nicks that immediately caught the light. I had to spend 30 minutes smoothing them out. This should never have passed QC. Overall very pleased with this American slice of heritage.

    Brilliant

This is almost exactly the same as the 110, so instead of writing a full review, you can check this link to see my review of that knife: http://www.heinnie.com/buck-110-folding-hunter The only difference is the size, this version is a bit smaller. Everything else in my review of the 110 applies to this knife. I use a knife every day at work (often around the general public) and have a fairly big rotation but while I don't use my 110 because of its size (I think the 110 is just a bit too big for the majority of people in this country) I do use the 112 as it is more people friendly.

Little Brother of the 110 'Original' and a Legend !

Posted by Peter Keane on 27th Dec 2015

I know there used to be lots of Very positive reviews for both the 112 and the 110 on here but they have disappeared ! Essentially the same Knife ,just slightly smaller (and more pocket friendly) the 112 /110 is where the 'Folding Hunter Knife began!Itbis everything that is best about America and American Engineering.Top Quality, tough,Reliable and as dependable as the Dawn,Buck knives long reputation for Good,Honest,,Products was built on these models.I carried mine for best part of 30 years and still would,if not for the ridiculous U.K. Knife restrictions!I used it for Work and for leisure ,it did whatever I asked of it and remains to this day razor sharp, with no play and a tight dependable back lock Keeps me safe from accidental closure. This is the knife that 'real' Working men have carried most of their adult life, because they know it can be trusted. the Quality of its components are second to none with Solid Brass Bolsters ,beautiful Wood scales that just mature with use and a famous Buck Blade that will keep its edge and easily re sharpen if needed. There have been lighter,Fancier and more 'Tactical','Mall Nnja Knives ,but none better and nothing to exceed this! The Original Legendary 'Buck' folder still THE working Mans Best Buddy, still excellent Vaue for Money ( lots of 'Buck' for your Buck) and No Collection is complete without one!
