    EDC Perfection

Posted by Virgil on 25th Oct 2016

I've been looking at the reviews and videos online for months and eventually plucked up the courage to order one knowing that Heinnie have a great returns service. From the moment I took it out of the box, I fell in love with it. Although I wouldn't want to do too much heavy cutting without gloves on, the feel in had is something special. It's well balanced and the deployment is quick and smooth. It was sharp out of the box too. The Axis lock is probably the most addictive thing in the world! I've spent hours flicking the blade in and out, very therapeutic! If you've spent anytime thinking about it and you can afford it, buy one. I genuinely don't think you'll regret it and if you do, Heinnie will pay for return postage!

    What a knife

This knife is amazing, it's so light so smooth and sharp out of the box. I love the blade shape. And as usual HH delivery is amazing.

    It's a real beauty!

Posted by Cork on 5th Mar 2016

Benchmade knives were recommended to me by an expert in 2010, and I was gently pointed at the Osborne 940. I used the knife day in, day out in my business, as well as doing a variety of bushcraft-related jobs as-needed that suited its use for a number of years. It's very easy and comfortable to hold. The close and release of the blade is supreme, with the slightest rotation of the wrist flicking the blade out to the firmly locked position, and the reverse when the lock is released from open. The S30V blade takes a fabulous, lasting edge too. I liked it so much, I bought 2 more for my staff who are still using them now, as am I in preference to anything else for any task to which a blade of that length and shape is suited.

    Lovely to look at!

Posted by MGP on 20th Jan 2015

This is an unusual and very desirable knife, it is beautifully built and the operation is smooth and reassuring, however, I have quite a few Benchmade knives and this is the only one that I have been unable to get really sharp. The steel on this knife is S30v and it is not the first time I have had problems getting the edge I desire with this steel. Having read and watched reviews on this knife it would seem I am not the only one, some owners have even resorted to sending them away to sharpening specialists. Don't get me wrong it is possible to get a working edge for general use but compared to my Rift there is no contest. All this aside I love the knife and if I lost it I would replace it.

    Believe the hype!

fantastic little knife with outstanding attention to detail and silky smooth operation, first knives I've owned with the AXIS lock and couldn't be happier with it. most surprising thing is the exetremely low weight but how strong it feels despite it being so light . would reccomend it to anyone, and i do, its certainly one to show off!

    First Class

Posted by Stuart Marshall on 6th Sep 2014

It took me ages to decide to buy my first Benchmade but this is a knife in a class all its own. The written word cannot really do this justice, you have to hold it to appreciate just how good it is. Build quality is way ahead of most other manufacturers. It is super smooth and the blade is a breeze to deploy. My only reservation is the clip, which seems a little too large but at least its not too stiff and its perfectly useable. The axis lock is so easy to use, either when deploying or releasing the blade, and the handle is very comfortable with a fine texture. This may be expensive but now I think its worth every penny and it certainly wont be my last Benchmade. Simply superb!
