Fabulous little penknife
I love the 84mm victorinox knives, and it appears that they are gradually being discontinued, so I thought I'd better buy one of these while I could. In fact I bought two - one to keep "as is", and the second to use as my first custom, by replacing the corkscrew with a philips. The sportsman is similar to the super popular cadet, with the small file instead of the smaller blade, but also has the awl (very useful) plus the toothpick and tweezers. 4 extra tools compared to the cadet. I love these 50g tools which you can slip in a pocket and barely notice. If you have a 4 layer 100g SAK loose in your trouser pocket you definitely notice it. The sportsman (or cadet) make a perfect SAK for mountain biking, in addition to a bike tool, so you can lever brake pads apart, file edges and make holes. My custom one with the philips is even more perfect for biking or small repair jobs. I literally couldn't find ANY other tool anywhere with an awl which could be safely folded away or covered for carrying in a pocket without jabbing yourself. Both these Sportsmans will get well used.
