All TOPS fixed blades are designed and handcrafted at TOPS' own facility in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, USA. Over the last several TOPS KNIVES have been requested and deployed in many 'Hot Spots' around the world. The Steel Eagle is a
superb piece of equipment for the outdoor adventurer, with a multitude of uses around the campsite. It has the trademark 1095 carbon steel blade with black traction coating and the tough black linen micarta handle scales. It is supplied with a nylon sheath with Kydex insert.

Steel Eagle - 107E

topsknives.com say the Steel Eagle range were their first designs. For me the 107E is their best model. I prefer a clean blade spine without a saw back or notches etc. I like to "assist" with my spare hand, from time to time. Blade - 7.5" scale to tip. Handle - 5". Stock - 6.5mm. The shallow choil works very well. Choke-up grip is good. The thumb recess has good jimping. It has a wide hand filling handle. Balance point at the ricasso. When you hold the Steel Eagle in your hand, it's like wearing an old pair of slippers. Finally, I think TOPS scabbards are OK, but not perfect. I am very pleased with my purchase.
