Good for sharpening small knives. Very soft, so probably won't last very long.
Quite small. I think it works.
Small but thats part of the attraction of being able to keep one in loads of kits and other places, would be intresting to know the grit as it seem quite high, good touching up blades but useless for anything with not much of an edge already on, a few more will be going in my next order
thanks to the lads and lasses at hennie excellent service as always. Got this little stone for use in the survival kit. Its small size is perfect for the job.Seems to be fairly fine grained used to sharpen a old knife and produced a really nice edge on only a few passes. not bad for price
This is a great little stone worth the £2 cost. 4 stars because of no grit description but as others have said it appears to be a reasonably fine grit.
First of all I know you've probably seen this a million times before if you regularly read reviews on heinnie haynes but I have to say it their service is fantastic.Nuff said. Now to the actual sharpener and what can I say you get what you pay for... A decent little sharpener. I mainly use it for my neck knives and folders but I have touched my machete up with it a few times and it did give it a very sharp edge. Now that being said it didn't come with any indication of what grit it was but I'm gonna guess quite fine but you can't fault HH for that. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it seems to be wearing out quite fast for me anyway. But overall a decent cheap sharpener.
Nice little stone for carrying in the field. Seems to been in the fine category, but it would be nice to know the exact grit. It is not Heinnies fault, the package itself does not identify it. You might need a coarser one in case of sharpening something really dull of badly chipped.
It's good quality, small stone. Perfect for smaller knives.
