The Spyderco UK Penknife with FRN handle, leaf-shaped blade and a flat grind is arguably the UK’s favourite selling pocket knife. Quite rightly so too! Made using CTS BD1N Stainless Steel with Spyderco’s Tradmark Round Hole system for simple ambidextrous opening, at the home of Spyderco in Golden Colorado. This already tells you that this is definitely a knife worth considering!

Because UK knife law does not allow for locking knives, the UKPK instead features a notch-joint at the knife’s pivot. This allows for the blade to feel secure in the open position but ultimately not lock it in place. This little knife also boasts a perfectly positioned deep finger choil and thumb ramp with jimping allowing for incredible control.

The handle is made from ultra-light FRN (Fibreglass reinforced nylon) which is warp-resistant, grippy and performs admirably in almost any environment.

In short the UKPK is a brilliant folding knife.

First Choice Carry Knife for the UK

Posted by Marlon Robinson on 27th Jan 2022

If you're wanting to specifically carry a pocket knife within the United Kingdom or know someone who might; get this one. It's very lightweight means that you'll hardly notice it inside a pocket. Plus its simple yet sturdy design should mean it'll be utilized for years to come without looking too much out of place performing day-to-day tasks.

    Bit disappointed to be honest

Posted by steve Dickson on 17th Jan 2022

Having owned a Dragonfly prior to this I was expecting more to be honest. It's a nice knife don't get me wrong, just not an £80 one and if it didn't say Golden, Colorado, Earth on the blade then I would've thought it came from China. Although saying that I've just had a Chinese made knife turn up that is actually more impressive! The scales/handle is well made and very solid but feels cheap in the hand. The clip would not sit properly on the "spider" logo so had to be removed and adjusted. The blade looks beautiful and the flat grind is flawless, but the edge wasn't particularly sharp out of the box and needed extra attention before it would even cut paper. Wish I'd got a Byrd Tern instead... So I did

Great little pocket friendly knife, sits well in the hand, razor sharp out the box, a little expensive compared to another seller but cant fault delivery time etc

    Spyderco UKPK

Posted by JAitken on 29th Nov 2021

If you're looking for a larger but still uk friendly knife this isn't a bad option. The blade is excellent and one handed opening is very easy. My one downer is that the handle feels a bit thin and plasticy for the price.

    Spyderco UK Penknife

Posted by John Chambers on 15th Sep 2021

This is the first "proper" penknife I've ever bought. Given you can buy similar looking knives for a fraction of the cost I was sceptical about this purchase. Now that I have it in may hand I understand. It's perfect, incredible attention to detail and the exactly what a legal EDC should deliver. ....and the next day delivery, awesome.

    Too pointy

    Posted by Tombo4 on 2nd Aug 2021

Yes, alright. It is a folding knife, it is nonlocking, its cutting edge is less than 3 inches, and obviously it is not spring-loaded, or gravity-opened, or disguised as something else. But it still looks like a sta**ing weapon, it flips open one-handed, and I would not want to argue the toss with a police officer who knows less about the subject than me. This is why Spyderco made the Pingo.

Well made little pocket knife, very lightweight and sharp but pricey that's the reason I gave it 4 stars .
