SPYDERCO UK PENKNIFE DROP POINT
I’ve Previously purchased a Spyderco Urban Red Heinnie Edition and a Spyderco UKPK Cobalt Blue SPY27 both of which have had G10 scales and are really nice knives so this is my third Spyderco UK legal carry although my first drop point blade. I do like the UK Penknife (UKPK) I would like to have been able to get a Heinnie Haynes Spyderco UK Penknife G10 Drop Point but these have been sold out for some time. This version has a CTS BD1N drop point, flat ground blade, which I really like and came “out of the box” very sharp. I’m not however so impressed with the fibreglass reinforced nylon (FRN) scales, I know they’re designed to be light weight but they just feel like cheap plastic too me. I have now purchased some Titech Heinnie Titanium handle scales for an additional £50, they make the knife look and feel a much higher quality, it does makes the knife slightly heavier, but I don’t mind that. Finally, It also doesn’t have the full-length back spring as found in my other two Spyderco knives. I know it’s cheaper than my other Spyderco knives but not that much cheaper.
