Being tenacious means one holds fast. One is persistent and cohesive. It means being tough and tireless until achieving your goal: all knife-worthy definitions for a worthy knife.
The mid-sized Spyderco Tenacious has a black G-10 laminate handle, milled with prolonged fatigue-free cutting in mind. Tucked inside are skeletonized steel liners increasing the handle’s rigidity and strength without adding non-functioning weight or bulky thickness.
The 8Cr13Mov stainless blade is leaf-shaped and ground flat from spine to cutting edge for cutting performance. The blade’s shape coupled with an oversized Spyderco Round Hole and textured spine jimping allow you to open the blade and position your thumb on the spine in slip-proof confidence ready for work. A Walker Linerlock (with jimped liner) and a 4-way pocket clip lets you set your carry and draw preference: Tip-up/tip-down left-hand/right-hand. Screw together construction.

Spyderco makes some really cool knives, but some of their models get a little pricey. That?s not the case with the Spyderco Tenacious. The Tenacious is a ?value model? for Spyderco, and is an excellent value indeed. I make knife reviews and survival videos at: http://www.youtube.com/user/chainheart3
The best knife you can buy for the money!!! And great service from HH.
Really well made knife, but I believe there is a design fault. When I first used the knife I was lucky not to really damage my thumb, the issue is that when you press down to release lock and close blade your thumb is in the line of blade closing. If the lock was moved across into the handle it would be much safer. Heinnie's service and delivery is first class.
Got this as my first spyderco and was very suprised at the quality. As the others have stated, for the price it is probably the best folder on the market. It would still rival others at twice the cost. Blade dead centred, scary sharp otb and fine finished G10. Well pleased. Thanks to all at hh - usual unequalled service.
I have had this knife for a week now and I feel I have to give it an extra star from my first review. As I feel it was a bit harsh and I've become used to it. I emailed Spyderco about my concerns about closing the knife and they replied "The best way to close the blade is to put your thumb at the highest part of the linerlock so when the blade closes your thumb actually stops the blade from closing too far as it comes in contact with the finger choil and without contact with the cutting edge of the blade." Which you seem to do with practice Spyderco seem to be a good company, almost as on the ball as Heinnie.
Screws on the pocket clip are not so good, apart from that great all round knife.
Thanks to Heinnie Haynes for another speedy delivery. As far as this knife goes it's marvellous, well made & very sharp - just one gripe stopping me giving it 5 stars; the screws holding the clip on are so small none of my tools would fit. I got around this by cutting slots in them carefully with a small hacksaw so a small screwdriver accomplished the job of moving the clip to my preferred end - you'll only do this once so it's no real problem.
Big chunky folder. Much lighter than it looks. Fine quality. 100% value for money.
