Description

Being tenacious means one holds fast. One is persistent and cohesive. It means being tough and tireless until achieving your goal: all knife-worthy definitions for a worthy knife.

The mid-sized Spyderco Tenacious has a black G-10 laminate handle, milled with prolonged fatigue-free cutting in mind. Tucked inside are skeletonized steel liners increasing the handle’s rigidity and strength without adding non-functioning weight or bulky thickness.

The 8Cr13Mov stainless blade is leaf-shaped and ground flat from spine to cutting edge for cutting performance. The blade’s shape coupled with an oversized Spyderco Round Hole and textured spine jimping allow you to open the blade and position your thumb on the spine in slip-proof confidence ready for work. A Walker Linerlock (with jimped liner) and a 4-way pocket clip lets you set your carry and draw preference: Tip-up/tip-down left-hand/right-hand. Screw together construction.

    Very impressed

Posted by Robbie on 23rd Oct 2012

Super-fast delivery, and excellent service from Heinnie as usual. I've only had it about 2 hours and I already love it! Nice grippy feel to the handle scales and the blade is superbly sharp. No downsides to it, just a fantastic piece of kit for a very modest price, can't get better than this for a cheap folder!

    Fantastic!

Posted by Paddy on 19th Oct 2012

This knife is brilliant! Light, well made and all for a fantastic price, just remember a few things if you buy one! 1). Put an oil on the blade and the liners to prevent rust, 8Cr13MoV is a fantastic steel but like any high carbon steel it will rust if left un-oiled. Just stick some GT-85 (not WD-40) on the metal parts and your done! 2) stick a good oil on the bushings, they come un-oiled and will be stiff and wear fast if un-lubricated! 3) put some locktite (threadlock) on the clip screws, when you receive the knife they will be loose so you can easily adjust the clip position, once adjusted stick some locktite on and tighten them up so you don't loose a screw! Apart from 3 simple maintenance tasks the knife is fantastic, great quality, great price and razor sharp from the box. Spyderco's quality twinned with HH fantastic service, you can't go wrong!

    Great knife, great service

Posted by Dave on 7th Oct 2012

Straight off the bat, this is a great knife. For some reason I have always thought Spyderco where overrated but two months ago I bought the Grasshopper along with a few other items and I was surprised by the quality of such a small knife. Recently some scrott nicked my EDC knife (CRKT M16) so when it came to replacing it I decided to give Spyderco a go. I wasn't disappointed, the design and quality of this knife is apparent straight away and as a tool to use daily it is perfect. I would recommend to anyone. Separately, the service from Heinnie was superb as it always is. I have used them many times before and will continue to do so. I in fact work for a large military equipment retailer and if we can't provide a product I will always advise my customers to use Heinnie Haynes.

    Budget Brilliance

Posted by Damien on 1st Oct 2012

It's all been said before, but this knife is absolutely brilliant for the price. I have more expensive folders that I had to fiddle with for ages to get the smooth deployment / nice lock-up balance right, but this one arrived OTB ready to go. Feels great in the hand, big but not bulky. Does it have CPM3V steel or CF scales? No! But it does have grippy G10 and a decent steel that takes a nice edge, and it's only £35!! Can't reiterate that enough! If you use your knives, buy it, use it, love it!

    well worth the money

Posted by Mike on 29th Aug 2012

Received my Tenacious earlier today and instantly put it to work. With more than capable ergonomics the knife did brilliantly. Only downside is the pins for the clip stripped as soon as I touched them. However, in general the knife is very good for the money. Sadly unlike the usual next day delivery standards of Heinnie my package did take another which is still very good. the free carabiner was also a nice addition, even if it was slightly feminine. However, my girlfriend loves it. For £35 you cannot go wrong with this knife.

Posted by Andy on 7th Jul 2012

Excellent knife, did my research, checked the reviews which are spot on. If you want an excellent folder, great quality for a good price, get the Spidey tenacious. Super fast delivery and top notch comms from HH, no wonder they have a great reputation.

    Top Quality

Posted by Chris Walton on 22nd Jun 2012

I pondered whether to buy this or the larger Resilience. As it happened this is big enough for all my needs, any larger would have just been greedy. Not much else to say that hasn't been said below - this is a steal at 36 quid! The design is fantastic, the build quality is amazing. It opens as smooth as silk. You'd be a mug not to buy one.
