Spyderco Tenacious G10 Satin 18

I'm new to Spyderco, so when I saw that one of their cheapest knives had 90 reviews all raving about how good it is I couldn't not buy one to see what all the fuss is about. I now get it. Its a very impressive build quality and I think I would be happy with it even at £30 or £40 more. The only down side would be that it's locking and is too big to carry in the UK, so I'm now looking at the Spyderco UKPK. This might turn into a bit of a collection. Super fast delivery and great customer service from HH as well.

I've bought Spyderco Tenacious - Satin Plain in June and had a chance to use it for all my hiking trips this summer across England and Europe too. Light, sturdy, easily resharpened, holding the edge well, capable of precise woodcarving and also did well with bigger tasks. One of my best folding knives I would recommend anytime. Heinnie delivered at an incredible speed compared to other companies and gave free delivery because my first order. Excellent. The knife itself is quite big but don't let that put you off because you get alot for 40 quid (treat yourself). Feels rock solid, liner lock engages perfectly with no blade play in any direction, G10 is grippy & ergonomics are good also. Sharp enough out of box but not * sharp. Bought to replace a buck red point which is a similar price point and put side by side the quality of this is much better. Only minor gripe is maybe a little big to open one hand smoothly, but practice makes perfect etc.

For the money, it's a great knife. One of the best choices in this price range. Pros: Very easy to sharpen, very good grip, pretty, durable and great company. Cons: The steel doesn't hold an edge like other high end ones. But again, the price range is totally diferent.

This is a fantastic knife! If you have used any other knife in this line you will know just how great the build quality is. I now own the tenacious, the persistence and the ambitious. They are by far my most favorite knifes in my collection. No other knife comes close in terms of ease of use, ergonomics and strength and build quality. The first tenacious I got was in the satin finish with the plain blade. I loved the knife so much and was so happy to have to the full collection I decided to order the tenacious again in the bl;ack finish with the plain blade again. With the black blade, black G10 scales and the black liners and the black screws this truly is a beautifully tactical looking knife. All in all you just have to look at the amount of 5 star reviews not just on this site but on every site and also the countless pages of top reviews on YouTube to know this is by far one of the best knifes out there. In my opinion this knife even beats other knifes that are 4 or 5 times the price as it will stand up to almost anything you throw at it and being so cheap it doesn't matter if it does get broken or lost as it can easily be replaced. All you have to do now is ask yourself satin or black finish and what blade to order! Trust me you won't regret it! Usual top class service from Heinnie Haynes. They just can't be beat for service and in my opinion and are the only company to shop with when buying knifes!

What more can be said about the Spyderco Tenacious?! It is a great knife! The quality you get for the price is unmatched! This is ,y first Spyderco Knife and certainly won't be my last!

FOR THE PRICE....BRILLIANT . OK YOU KNOW YOUR NOT GETTING THE BEST STEEL, BUT SOMETIMES YOU DONT NEED IT. CONSIDERING THIS KITCHEN KNIFE STEEL I THINK SPYDERCO HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB, IT CERTAINLY DOESNT FEEL CHEAP. BLADE CAME VERY SHARP INDEED ALTHOUGH I GOT EVEN SHARPER[THINK I JUST ENJOY DOING IT] G10 SCALES ARE GREAT AS USUAL AND GIVE A BIT MORE WEIGHT AND IN TURN MAKE THE KNIFE FEEL LIKE IT COST A LOT MORE. Used a few hundred times since I got it DLC coating is worn how ever the blade is still sharp after cutting though carpet 6 hours a day, A friend wants a para 2 think he's changed his mind now. Cheers HH.

So this is an amazing knife. It impressed me straight out the box. Centering spot on, G10 feels great, black blade and general finish is superb, zero play anywhere, razor sharp OTB, smooth opening and a satisfying click. I also really like the wide thumb gap to disengage the frame lock. It can be a pain on some other knifes. It's a joy to use. Would be worth it at at least twice the price. A real shame we can't carry this around legally in the UK, so it will be a workshop tool for me.
