I wish it came as a pair. I don't want to pay for carriage when ordering the second one.
Just received the CBN rods to compliment my 204 sharpmaker, not used yet but look good. Regarding Heinnie themselves, this is my third purchase from them and iv got to say they are excellent to deal with. Will be using again!!
If you're a bit obsessive about knife sharpening then the extra (or ultra) fine stone is a useful addition to your collection. You don't need a Spyderco Sharpmaker to use it, it can be used freehand. Just get your knife very sharp with normal stones and then use it to polish the bevel to a mirror finish. Makes edge noticeably sharper. Worth getting a Lansky eraser to go with it.
I was so happy with the Spyderco sharpmaker that I bought one for my father. I also decided to invest in the diamond and and ultrafine stones which make removing metal much faster and puts a well mirrored final edges on my kitchen knives. I would recommend this system and the extra stones to anyone. Heinnies service was also very fast and I will definately order from them in the future. Thank you.
Gives a perfect mirror edge and I couldn't be happier with the quality. It's excellent if you're just learning to sharpen free-hand as it cuts so slowly but it also gives the sharpest edge possible without professional equipment, designed to be used with the Sharpmaker but I use it free-hand and it works just the same. The usual 5 stars from Hennie.
