Description

Why change something if it works? Because Spyderco practice the principle of C.Q.I. - Constant Quality Improvement. If Spyderco can refine and improve the ergonomics or cutting performance of an established model, they do it.

The Spyderco Para Military 2 Black has several changes over the classic version. The G-10 handle is narrowed at the end improving the ergonomics. The handle and blade have been profiled thinner; removing uncomfortable angles when in the closed position. It features a Compression Lock and an ambidextrous-friendly four way clip which carries tip-up/tip-down, left/right-hand and rests deeper in a pocket. Spyderco kept the same high-performance CPM-S45VN full flat-ground blade but they have also lengthened the blade’s tip and added additional surface jimping to both the spine and finger choil. Implementation of a Bushing Pivot System generates fluid action and more consistent manufacturing tolerances. Larger lanyard hole gives more options for carry.

Refinements to overall construction may not be drastic or even visible to the eye but from the G-10 textured handle to the CPM-S45VN steel full flat blade, everything is sharper, smoother and guaranteed to provide performance and user comfort. Made in Golden, Colorado U.S.A.

    Price change

Posted by Ray on 17th Oct 2017

Used to be £125 only a few years ago. Now look at the price. Can't bring myself to buy it knowing I could have gotten it for so much cheaper.

Always preferred the camo DLC version until I got this one, looks great in all black, literally sharp as a razor, caution is required

Spyderco Paramilitary 2 - can cut it !

Posted by Andy on 3rd Aug 2016

Let's face it a knife is a tool that you need to cut with , plain and simple . That's the case for most knives out there until you own a spyderco knife . Spyderco just get it right so well with this knife that all other. Knives you have used Will feel like there missing something . The easy one hand opening with the thumb hole or a small fast *k of the wrist and it will click smooth into place "click" To close is just as simple and can be done one handed - with some practice mind your fingers , that's the other point . The blade is so sharpe and holds an edge like a razor . I was so impressed with the paramilitary 2 that I bought one for a relative that joined The army He loves it and many of his platoon mates now carry one . If you need an edge that can do most small cutting jobs this is the one to get Bullt to do what many cant Get one !

    Perfection

    Posted by Enduro-Mann on 12th Mar 2016

This is my 2nd Parramilitary 2 and I'm just as amazed this time as I was the first time. It's perfect in every sense and come hair splitting sharpmfrom the factory. This is my 4th purchase from HH and they still continue to deliver a superb service which I'll use from years to come.

    Good for lefties

Posted by Albee on 16th Aug 2015

Great knife, as shown by many reviewers here and else where, always great service from HH. As a left handed user, like most lefties, I sometimes find some mechanisms awkward to use. Not the case with this knife, four positions for the pocket clip and a lock release that I find easier to use lefthanded than righthanded.

    Best in my extensive collection

Excellent steel design and ergonomics even for very large hands. Feels like its been made by a swiss watch manufacturer. Unbelievable service from H H as usual.

    Blackout Paramilitary 2

Posted by Oz on 8th Jul 2014

This is my 2nd Para 2 from the great HH team. This one came absolutely Sebenza perfect out the box. The pivot was as smooth as glass. Not a single out of place blemish to be found. Lockup is rock solid, blade centering was spot on and precise a little lock stick which I am hoping will disappear through some use. Waited a long time one but was well worth the wait. My digicam Para 2 I picked up a few years ago from HH, came with a few minor issues and it had to be adjusted slightly to improve the out of box compression lock operation and blade centering. However a few years of medium/hard use has seen to it that this is now perfect. S30V steel can get ridiculous scary sharp once you get used to working with it. To summarize the Para 2 gets better with use and needs to be broken in. Recommend picking one up and making this knife a user you won't regret it. Excellent service from HH once again!

THE ONLY FOLDER YOU WILL EVER NEED

Posted by Dan on 19th Jun 2014

I received my blackout Paramilitary the other day after seeing they were in stock. So I hit the button. These are like unicorn doo doo, especially in this country. Thought this this one could keep my G10 satin version company. They are the most expensive blades I own at the mo but they are amazing. Sharp as hell, top top quality, light weight, and so comfortable and practical to use. I can see how this knife has such a fan base. Mine came bit stiff but a with a slight loosen of pivot it was mint. That's the first time a Spyderco has come to me a bit stiff so I'll let em off. If I was going into battle, lost on a desert island, and I had this knife in my pocket, I'd feel a lot safer. If you're a survival nut or knife collector this has got you covered. Came rapid too as per. HH are the impatient mans dream lol

    Top class knife

Posted by Lee on 12th Jun 2014

I have just received this knife , and it is superb. The G10 handle gives a very sure grip with gimping in all the right places. The blade is sharp out of the box, and razor sharp with very little work. The lock is very secure, all round a superb knife and first class service from Heinnie Haynes yet again.
