The Spyderco Para Military 2 Black has several changes over the classic version. The G-10 handle is narrowed at the end improving the ergonomics. The handle and blade have been profiled thinner; removing uncomfortable angles when in the closed position. It features a Compression Lock and an ambidextrous-friendly four way clip which carries tip-up/tip-down, left/right-hand and rests deeper in a pocket. Spyderco kept the same high-performance CPM-S45VN full flat-ground blade but they have also lengthened the blade’s tip and added additional surface jimping to both the spine and finger choil. Implementation of a Bushing Pivot System generates fluid action and more consistent manufacturing tolerances. Larger lanyard hole gives more options for carry.
Refinements to overall construction may not be drastic or even visible to the eye but from the G-10 textured handle to the CPM-S45VN steel full flat blade, everything is sharper, smoother and guaranteed to provide performance and user comfort. Made in Golden, Colorado U.S.A.

Oversized lanyard hole, oversized thumb hole, grippy G10 scales, full flat ground CPM S30V 3.5" blade, left/right tip up/down carry clip options, torx screws (i.e not proprietary rubbish), pillar open construction, DLC coating, great ergonomics, milled out steel liners, bronze bushings, reliable compression lock... I could go on all day. Not got one yet? I'd see to to that if I were you.
A must have!! Had to wait a short while for mine due to the demand for this knife. Build quality - Outstanding! Very tactile and has some excellent refinements made since the original! All I can say is buy one - worth the wait. As always great service from the team at HH.
I own the digi-cam coloured version and it is simply the best every day carry knife money can buy. If you can carry it legally it won't leave your side as the go-to knife for any cutting job. I bought this and the Emerson Mini Commander from HH. On the face of it they are (I think comparable knives) I've had both for a while now and the PM-2 is in a different league. It's lighter, the lock up is FAR better and deployment is preferable to what for me is a hit and miss system on the Emerson Wave. Perhaps my Emerson needs breaking in more but I only ever want to use the Para Military...

I usually manage to find some incredibly minute defect or questionable design decision in most of my purchases, be it my latest electronic gizmo or a simple hand tool.. not in this case. The overall fit and finish is perfect - G10 scales are rough and grip well but the outer edges are well smoothed. The black DLC is flawless the blade edge is clean and regular. The blade itself is well centered and has zero play open or closed. Action is easy and smooth whilst the ball detent in the liner offers a good amount of resistance. Jimping on the spine and choil is aggressive but not sharp. Fits well and is comfortable in the hand, also extremely light whilst feeling extremely solid. There is more, but you have probably heard enough by now! Seriously good work from Spyderco and as always a 100% quality and reliable service from Heinnie! Thanks! I just wish there was still stock of the Carbon Fiber/S90V!
