Spyderco Para Military 2 Black 18

Kind of been bitten by the Spyderco bug lately. Their knives are beautifully built ,have great blade steels to choose from are very ergonomic and great to fidget with. The PM 2 has all these attributes in spades and then some. Perfect fit and finish. The g10 is very nice, very grippy but feels like quality.Super sharp S45VN blade and such a smooth flicky action. Compression lock is rock solid. Changed the clip position to blade up right side carry and now it's even more perfect.(so perfect I ordered the satin Digi cam straight away). It's a Lovely thing to hold, but be careful, all that fidgeting and spidie flicking can be bad for your health. Got the plaster on my leg to prove it. Idiot. No wonder people rave about these knives, they really are that good. Very recommended. Buy one.

It’s such a good knife. The blade, it’s edge, the lock, the handle, the materials, ease of use, the way it handles, it’s ruggedness etc Everything is just so good Expensive but if you’re after a premium folding knife this is an excellent choice in my opinion

So this is my second Spyderco after the Native 5 lightweight. I love the Native 5 and this Para Military 2 is essentially a bigger, badder version of that. The textured G10 handles offer great grip. With my medium hands I find it easy to grip the knife purely on the handle or choking up on the choil. The angle of the blade compared to the grips are another great feature that really helps baring down on whatever you're cutting creating a useful pressure point throughout a stroke or push cut. There's the usual 4 point pocket clip and I usually always carry mine blade down. But with the pocket clip at the tail the whole thing sits at a very funny angle so i've resorted to using the clip in a blade up configuration. I must say, I am loving the compression lock, though the axis lock type is still my favourite. My only wish, as a righty, would be I wish that the compression lock was placed on opposite 'liner' so that I would be unlocking with my thumb rather than finger.

An excellent piece of kit. Well balanced in your hand and easy to use. Grips are good too. Blade keeps its edge well during use. The black colour is a really neat finish on a well engineered tool.

Highly recommended. Nothing negative to comment. The scales are insanely grippy. This is the knife you need when things get serious. The only downside is U.K. knife law and that you will rarely be able to carry this legally. But, to sum up, if I had to carry just one knife on any trip or adventure this would be it.

Everything you could want in a folder from design to performance a real pleasure to hold, use and own. Only issue I've had is not being able to find a key to swap the clip, I have a standard set and a US set but it seems inbetween sizes, not a big issue though a truly top knife.

Just a spectacular pocket knife. Easy open and close with the Spidey hole. A little large to fl*ck open with a finger (maybe) but fine with a thumb. The G10 scales are very grippy. I wouldn't want to see what it did to good jeans but then this isn't a knife you'd keep in good jeans. It's a work-horse. The compression lock is fantastic. A safe and secure lock. The S30V is great. This obviously isn't a cheap knife but it's a user simply because it's so good.

Love the all black coating and on the g10 scales. Very grippy. just like sandpaper. Find the locking mech pretty stiff to push in to then close the knife but hopefully that will ease with more use. certainly wont close by mistake. nice weight in the hand and not heavy for the pocket. rock solid and well made. Its a cracker.

If you are a uniformed-professional, and need a subdued "mid-sized" folder, then this model is for you. It is a lot more "pocket-friendly" than a Manix 2 XL - for example.
