Latest Update - The next production run has been postponed due to current world events. We're waiting for a slot in the factory in Golden, Colorado. There will be a new production, but we do not have a firm date.

Here it is, the exclusive version of the Spyderco UK Penknife made for us here at Heinnie Haynes®!

An exclusive is a special configuration of an established Spyderco model. Although multiple runs may be made, as its name implies, it is exclusive to Heinnie Haynes and only available through us.

Spyderco developed the UK Penknife after the United Kingdom prohibited the carry of folding knives with locking blades. Its refined design combines the defining features of Spyderco’s revolutionary CLIPIT knives with an improved, non-locking, notch joint mechanism. The resulting hybrid, known as a SLIPIT, elevates the functionality of trhe traditional non-locking pocket knife while remaining socially and legally friendly.

Made in the USA at Spyderco’s factory in Golden, Colorado, this exclusive expression of the UKPK showcases a leaf shaped blade crafted from premium CPM S30V particle metallurgy stainless steel. The plain edge blade is full-flat ground for exceptional edge geometry and is proudly laser engraved with the Heinnie ‘H’.

Not to be outdone, the handle of this knife features distinctive red G10 scales with a non slip peel ply texture. They complement the jimping (textured grooves) on the blade's thumb ramp and index finger choil to ensure a positive grip and outstanding control during use.

A truly unique expression of an iconic Spyderco design, this exclusive UK Penknife is sure to appeal to both end users and discriminating collectors alike.

    Amazing...until it broke :(

Posted by Damian B on 20th Oct 2020

I loved this knife. Alas, past tense. We'll get to that, but first there's a lot to love here. This was pretty much, to my mind, a perfect UK EDC knife ... though actually it feels like a much bigger knife than it is, and feels like it's pushing towards the limits of what's UK legal carry. It's very, very comfortable in the hand, affords excellent control, from stronger push cuts to very fine work with the tip. The blade shape seems to be good for pretty much everything. Everything - aesthetics, ergonomics, materials, fit & finish, utility - were amazing. But after about a year of light to moderate use, the backspring just snapped, one day. I was actually a little heartbroken. Taking it apart, the spring is a quite delicate-looking tuning fork-type affair - I don't know if that's the same for all UKPKs. I've tinkered with it, and it's now a serviceable friction folder. And I still really, really like it, and it still gets 4 stars. ... and I still might buy a replacement, it Heinnie ever gets new stock.

Brilliant Lightweight UK legal EDC as you would would expect for Heinnie. Great quality to hold and use. Razor sharp out of the box. Buy one when you can.

    Best version of ukpk

Posted by Half baked on 12th Feb 2020

Have the s110v, original s30 v and all the standard models and this is best by far, bets price for materials compared to s110v model, tougher back spring then all of them gives you confidence in hand and a nice sexy red g10 instead of plastic to boot, just get it best UK legal knife hands down gets more pocket time then my lionsteels

    Just get one...

Posted by Mattster on 5th Feb 2020

Had one of these for a while now. Got it shortly after it was released. Great bit of kit, v sharp OTB and with G10 handles, feels more sturdy than a "normal" UKPK. Stronger spring for more confidence and a fantastic steel that holds a good edge for a long time. If you want a UKPK, this is the one to go for..!

Don't get the CTS BD1 UKPK lightweight, get this instead

Posted by Chris on 2nd Jan 2020

I bought three of these, as I have an Orange version of the original s30v UKPK that I love, but am scared to use too often in case I lose it. This is almost identical to the old orange model. the blade is slightly thinner on the new one, but the handle ergonomics and materials feel identical. There is an extra screw in the handle of the new one, so if anything it is more sturdy. The one of these I have opened (I also gave one away as a gift) is my most carried tool. I have a large collection of UKL EDC knives, and this is the best combination of performance, materials and price of any of them. The next best in my collection is the HH Slipstream for those metrics, though the lack of a pocket clip means I rarely carry it. The Bestech Junzi and the TRM Viator are also excellent, though you could buy two UKPKs for the price of either of those.

    Superb knife

Posted by Rich on 29th Dec 2019

Had this thing for over 6 months, carried and used daily apart from a few rare exceptions. Pleased to see others are appreciating the knife and the one guy who claims to have three of them that have suffered weakening in the back spring is on his own with his views. But he doesn't like the Spyderco wire clip either, and his hands thought the G10 was a bit sharp at the edges. It was his review that made me carry this daily for 6 months before commenting on the curious spring. Spyderco had some problems with a split spring breaking on the lightweight models. As usual it was dealt with professionally by Spyderco, and this spring has been redesigned. My knife is not pocket jewellery, it's snapped open and shut in use many times a day. One of the best Spyderco/dealer collaborations I've seen.

    A great little knife.

Posted by Dickie D. on 14th Oct 2019

I bought this knife about 6 months ago now used it all summer whittling wood in the yard, a quick touch up on the sharpmaker once a week keeps the steel shaving sharp, I also use it for prepping food and every day jobs around the house, I carry this blade almost every day now. Buy with confidence, great service from HH arrived in 3 days of placing my order.

    A truly exceptional knife

Posted by NL on 4th Sep 2019

My meagre knife collection presently consists of about ten UK legal knives, ranging in price from £20 to about £250. Despite the above, previously, I never held the desire to own any of the knives made by Spyderco. Although I had read a number of positive reviews generally, the aesthetics simply did not appeal. That is until Heinnie piqued my interest with this model. Every Heinnie collaboration I have owned has resulted in an excellent knife and seeing the positive reviews for this one stacking up, I persuaded myself to take the plunge. I am glad I did. Notwithstanding the magnificent service by HH, this is truly an exceptional knife and the quality surpasses some that I own which are almost triple the price. The scales and liner are beautifully finished and the blade steel is excellent. The key winning feature is the safety stop' on the blade. It is incredibly robust (the best I have seen) and I would not be worried about it closing on my fingers accidentally. At this price, this truly is an amazing and truly exceptional knife that begs to be used and is certainly worthy of any collection!

I got this one for my Grandad's birthday and I ordered the standard black one for myself and I have to say this one is far better it feels solid I would really recommend getting this one over the standard version although the standard one is really good as well.
