Love Delica 4s in any variation and have written about them on here in other reviews. So this is really about the supposedly shade-shifting foliage green colour of the scales. Well, I have a plain grey one (favourite all round knife ever by the way) and to my eyes that already is an interesting green-ish grey in some light conditions. I actually thought my plain grey one was the foliage green one because of this. I was wrong, it's just pain grey, so I bought this to compare. So - the foliage green is a different shade than the grey one and I do like it and think it's interesting BUT does it really have any extra special shade shifting abilities compared to the plain grey one? Maybe it does and maybe it doesn't. I can't really tell but I like them both and both shades are quite subtle and interesting and can blend in. OK, maybe that's not important to you so how about the rest of it? Not everybody's cup of tea but in my opinion serrations have a real use when it comes to tough fibrous material like rope, hemp and other such stuff, so serrations definitely have their place and in this knife you've got the best of both worlds. In my opinion Delica 4s in any configuration are brilliant bits of kit and this is no exception.
