Description

SPARTAN-HARSEY "ANGEL EDITION" FOLDER – A BLADE OF SILENT PROTECTION

Crafted in reverence to those who watch over us from beyond sight, the Angel Edition of the Spartan-Harsey Folder is a powerful testament to the strength and serenity of unseen guardians. This knife, the result of a collaboration between Spartan Blades and master designer William “Bill” Harsey Jr., is not just a tool, but a tribute—a symbol of silent protection, unwavering guidance, and the eternal presence of those who stand watching over us.

At the heart of the Angel Edition is the deeply engraved images of stylized angels, their wings unfurled in divine grace. Each intricate line and curve in the engraving represents more than just art; it carries the weight of faith, hope, and resilience. These angels are not distant figures of mythology—they are the quiet, unseen forces that guide us through life's darkest moments, offering a hand when we need it most.

The Angel Edition Spartan-Harsey Folder carries the same legendary quality and precision that Spartan Blades is known for, with every detail carefully considered. The  10.2cm (4-inch) blade, crafted from CPM MagnaCut Stainless Steel, promises superior durability and razor-sharp precision. The blade’s spear point style, featuring a flat ground main bevel and a tapered top edge, is designed to excel in a variety of tasks, making it as practical as it is meaningful.

The handle, beautifully engraved with the image of stylized angels, is made from premium 6AL4V titanium, ensuring both strength and a lightweight feel. Each intricate detail of the engraving captures the grace and power of these ethereal guardians, making this knife not only a tool but a deeply personal piece of artistry.

    Spartan Harsey

Posted by Jez on 14th Oct 2025

I am a huge fan of Spartan knives, I think that they currently produce what is the acme of blades, especially folders. They are incredibly well designed and engineered, simply a work of art. I never get tired of deploying the blade, it is a beautiful smooth action full of power. The question is who to leave my collection to, none of those in the family younger than me have any interest, because one thing is for sure the knives will far out last me, I am two years from 70 and even with a following wind it will not be possible to live much longer. I saw a new consultant recently, and when I sat down he told me that he had been through my history 'you should be dead' he said, with all the forces injuries that I have sustained he went on to say that he could only assume that it was my strength of character and refusal to give in that has carried me this far. I will have to make sure that they go to a good home though even if that means giving them away. The second hand market is not sufficientlly boyant to be worth very much. Although used Spartans and other top end knives do hold their value much better than most, similar to a Rolex. Even the frame lock is far superior to others, a real slab of steel. With crisp smooth operation. I highly recommend Spartans to anyone who can afford them, they are worth every penny, I have certainly had my money's worth out of mine.

    Stunning

This is a really lovely knife, I've never had a Spartan before but I had a particular bit of money to spend on something to remember a family member by and this seemed fitting with the angels theme. The quality is up there next to a Chris Reeve knife (which it should be for the money) and the quality and colour of the laser engraving are spot on. I'm unlikely to use this as a it's a display piece of me but it does feel comfortable and very capable.
