Sog terminus knife
I bought this because I wanted a legal carry folder and it is very hard to find knives that have strong enough slip joints. The law in the UK is simply crazy, lock knives are not allowed, this mean that anyone using a slip joint knife is at serious risk of injury to their fingers when the blade closes causing deep cuts. I had this happen to me when I was much younger and I still have wide scars on three fingers and lack of feeling in two. The usual ******** department that brought this in obviously has no understanding at all about knives. With a locking blade the folding knife is no more dangerous an article than without the lock, the opposite in fact. Do they really think that having a lock is going to prevent ******, they need to alter the aspect of society involved, but they have no interest in that, a stick sharpened to a point is far more dangerous and in the special forces a sharpened stick is a good replacement if one loses one's knife. So, this SOG has a relatively strong slip joint, it clicks satisfying in place, still not as good as a lock but for many tasks it is strong enough. The only other one I have found is the worldwide legal boker, I bought one over ten years ago and it has a good slip joint and can be bought from this site. However recently I bought another one in case I lose the original or it wears out. The new one has a far less strong joint, almost as if this has been done intentionally. But this SOG and the boker are good knives, sharp out of the box and capable of standing up to hard use. Hennies are by far the best on line company that I have dealt with and Richard in particular is very helpful. At 70 yrs old I have reached the end of my knife buying days, but they sell many other items of use as well. So no doubt this won't be my last purchase from them.
