Slightly underwhelmed
First let me say, HH service is second to none. I don't know how they do it but they do it. Every time. Unreal. Now to the bivvi. It's not quite what I expected, if I'm honest. My first overall impression was "cheap" with a little bit of "half-arsed job" thrown in. Taking the price into consideration only emphasises these first impressions. It's flimsy. It's essentially nothing more than a very expensive plastic bag with a zip. And that's my point. It doesn't feel like a BIVVI, it feels like a very expensive plastic bag with a zip. I haven't tried it out in the field, yet, but I don't doubt that it will be waterproof to SOME extent. It feels cheaply put together. The fact that mine already came with a hole that had been patched in factory doesn't help. Very thin material (if Special Forces get more than 6 months use out of this bivvi with special forces usage, I'll eat my socks). Flimsy stitching. It does not shout "quality", put it that way. Yes, it packs down to nothing. Yes, it's very light. I don't know ... I guess, I expected something a bit more substantial. Would I buy this again, at THIS sort of price? Right now, probably not.
