Sometimes you need to travel as light as possible, and be prepared to take cover quickly in adverse conditions. This is extreme camping. As the name suggests, this is a hard-working and reliable Bivvi that protects you from the wind and rain. It’s lightweight, compact and 100% waterproof, making it an ideal emergency refuge or for packing ‘just in case’

  • Half centre zip for quick and easy access (perfect for use with the snugpak special forces range of sleeping bags)
  • Made in the UK
  • 100% waterproof fabric with a Hydro Static Head in Excess of 5000mm (items with a Hydrostatic Head over 1500mm are generally considered waterproof)
  • Tough
  • Breathable (will transmit up to 7.5 litres of moisture per m2 per 24 hours)
  • Soft to the touch
  • Outer Fabric treated with a Durable Water Repellant. (water repellancy can be maintained by a cool tumble dry after washing and periodic retreatment with suitable after care products
  • It is important to note that as this solid coating air cannot pass so care should be taken not to completely seal any bivvi bag system to prevent suffocation

      Slightly underwhelmed

First let me say, HH service is second to none. I don't know how they do it but they do it. Every time. Unreal. Now to the bivvi. It's not quite what I expected, if I'm honest. My first overall impression was "cheap" with a little bit of "half-arsed job" thrown in. Taking the price into consideration only emphasises these first impressions. It's flimsy. It's essentially nothing more than a very expensive plastic bag with a zip. And that's my point. It doesn't feel like a BIVVI, it feels like a very expensive plastic bag with a zip. I haven't tried it out in the field, yet, but I don't doubt that it will be waterproof to SOME extent. It feels cheaply put together. The fact that mine already came with a hole that had been patched in factory doesn't help. Very thin material (if Special Forces get more than 6 months use out of this bivvi with special forces usage, I'll eat my socks). Flimsy stitching. It does not shout "quality", put it that way. Yes, it packs down to nothing. Yes, it's very light. I don't know ... I guess, I expected something a bit more substantial. Would I buy this again, at THIS sort of price? Right now, probably not.

Haven't yet tried out the bivvy bag though im impressed at how small it packs down to, just wanted to say how amazing heinnie's service is, bought around half 3 on thursday afternoon, there it was next day at 9am even though it was free delivery and I live in the northwest highlands, spot on heinnie.

Great item to add to your valuable sleeping bag. Always wanted to know what the fuss was about so I got one and I'm glad I did it bumps the insulation up lots and sheds water like wax, strongly recommended.
