At Heinnie Haynes we have a large range of survival shelters and survival tents to choose from. We’re confident that we have something to suit all needs, from tried and trusted brands we’re proud to stock and truly recommend such as Helikon-Tex, DD Hammocks, and Snugpak

Once you’ve picked the right survival shelter or tent for you, make sure to check out our huge selection of sleeping bags, mats and other survival essentials to ensure you feel comfortable wherever you set up home for the night.

What is a survival shelter?

Survival shelters can be as simple as lightweight tarp that’s secured between two trees. This provides shelter from adverse weather conditions such as rain. You can also store equipment under it to help keep it dry.

You may wish to use a survival shelter in addition to your tent or you can use it as a stand alone piece of equipment.

When can you use a survival shelter?

You can use a survival shelter during bushcraft, trekking, on a backpacking expedition, as a base when partaking in adrenaline pumping activities like water rafting or rock climbing, or on a wild camping trip.

They’re an ideal lightweight and compactable piece of kit to easily store away in your backpack. As long as you’re near trees to help secure your survival shelter it’s often an easier option in terms of carrying and putting up than a tent that requires poles and more ground space.
