    Ruike M31

It is inevitable that one compares the S.A.K climber with this Chinese iteration of a truly versatile tool. Neither eclipses the other & both have advantages and disadvantages. The Ruike is a much sturdier beast, with a blade of superior steel, G10 scales , better scissors & vastly improved tweezers. However, the plastic handled Climber is lighter, more compact and feels more comfortable in the hand. It also has an excellent can opener, while the Ruike has a seat belt cutting blade. The bottle openers are virtually identical as are the corkscrews, although the Ruike has a better reamer. The Ruike is a handsome beast with excellent fit and finish, on a par with the S.A.K. I removed the pocket clip as I feel this ruins the knife's ergonomics and made a stainless steel spacer to take up the void where the clip was attached. Value wise, I would have to give it to the climber, which is only about half the price of the Ruike. Taking everything into account however, I will still give the Ruike a five star rating. An excellent tool.

Extremely well built, solid, great grip, blade design very functional particularly the angled seatbelt cutter. Scissors sturdy and sharp, tweezers and glass breaking stud very good. Overall a great knife, well worth money

This is an excellent little multi tool/ SAK. I've gotten used to being disappointed with the usual Chinese rubbish so I wasn't expecting too much, but wow, this is a revelation. The fit and finish is way up there. Head and shoulders above a Victorinox imho. Excellent shaving sharp blade, not the worst steel. Wonderful scissors, second place to my Leatherman Surge. Quirky serrated belt cutter blade, which , to be honest, is an acquired taste and a slotted screwdriver with cap puller. On the other side you get a sharp awl, a corkscrew and a very nice pair of full size tweezers. Very pleased and Heinnie great as usual. Great purchase.

A SAK alternative with a proper blade and stylish looks. Build quality and materials are good; 'walk&talk' is accurate and precise. Although hefty, the pocket clip makes it a viable e.d.c. If you prefer, the Boker Plus Tech Tool pouch available from HH is a perfect fit so you can wear it on a belt or attached to a bag strap.

It's a very 'beefy' knife, I Have the Victorinox Huntsman which has 4 rows of tools as opposed to the 3 on this and it's slightly smaller/lighter than this. A can opener would have been a better option as it can also be used as a bottle opener and would offer more versatility, but that's a minor point. It's a well made sturdy tool that I'm sure will get use
