Occasionally a new manufacturer comes along who creates a product that ticks all the boxes and who sets a price at a very reasonable rate. So it is with Ruike knives.

The Ruike Jager F118 is a tough working knife that uses a simple no nonsense design to great effect. The 14C28N Stainless Steel full tang blade has a rounded back spine preventing any snagging and blisters to the handed over long periods of use. The handle too is nicely rounded G10 which is very comfortable in the hand.

Another great feature is the sheath. Not only is it made from highly durable ABS plastic, it also has a rotating belt clip allowing you to wear the sheath at any angle you choose.

    Ruike F118G Green/Black

Posted by Gary Ralph on 13th Feb 2025

I ordered the Ruike F118G recently. Delivery was as always prompt from HH. I had read up and looked at UTube reviews before buying this. The pictures and descriptions I had seen don't do this knife credit until you actually see it and handle it yourself. It's a lovely chunk of steel. The polish/finish looks great. It's razor sharp. The handle is green and black G10. It looks beautiful and feels really good in the hand. The jimping gives it some more purchase and grip. The overall size and weight just feels right. I feel like I've got a companion/bushraft/survival EDC knife in one, and at a fantastic price. You look at knives like a Bradford 4 or 4.5 Guardian which range around £200 and above, and I feel like I've got something like that for far less money. The Sheath is really impressive..strong plastic with a multi position clip so the knife can be worn in several different carry positions. Brilliant piece of kit! Everything looks and feels really well made. Very comfortable to hold and carry. I love it!! What an excellent knife and sheath. This isn't among the more expensive knives I own but it's definately in the top 3 of my favourite knives. I'm so glad and pleased I bought it. I've purchased quite a few knives and kit from Heinnie Haynes, and each time I've been impressed and pleased with the knives, kit and HH's excellent service.

    Jager F118B

A great small knife for all types of jobs. String cutting, opening packaging, processing food, wood carving. Holds an edge and easy to sharpen and keep clean. The sheath is strong and well made but time will tell.

    Fantastic knife and value

    Posted by T on 21st Apr 2022

All the reviews are true this is a lovely high quality item - materials and finish - that comes with a great sheath and belt attachment. Size and strength are spot on - big enough for most tasks but not too big or cumbersome. Amazing value for the price.

    A knife of true beauty.

Posted by Robert on 9th Jun 2020

A knife of true beauty, functionality and quality. If this was made by one of the big American manufacturers I'm sure you could add at least another £50 to the price. The knife I received was the sharpest I've ever seen, straight out the box. The handle (green and black G10) fits my hand perfectly and is very comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this knife to anyone. Coupled with Heinnie Haynes' excellent service, I'm very, very impressed.

A beautiful piece of art & quality

Posted by Ashraf on 23rd Dec 2019

I was watching this knife for more than a year and after reading a lot of reviews and watching videos finally I brought one. Trust me, this knife is more beautiful than what the pictures and videos show. Came with a nice presentation style box in which the tip of the knife was protected with a piece of plastic. The handle really feels comfortable. I found the G10 scales faded instead of pure black when opened the box but after some use the dark black colour returned. This knife is sharp like a razor blade from tip to the choil. Don't be upset by knowing the sheath made of plastic. This high quality plastic feels no different than kydex. Thank you Heinnie for great service.

    More than you pay for.

This is a well designed quality knife, I am very happy with it, the handle fits my hand but if you have giant hands, it might feel a little small.

    My First Propper bushcrfater

Posted by Jonny B on 20th Jun 2017

Took the plunge and bought one of my most expensive knifes for Bushcrafting and I have to say I am so far impressed with its weekend performance shelter building and wood prep. Lack of sharp rod striking spine is a bit iof a bind but i carry the rod striker with me and i banded it to the sheath so winner winner. Hand wasn't all hot and beat up after quite a long time prepping wood so hand is really well designed and not heavy. Overall I am well happy with this knife and at this price get one if your like me and hesitant dont be
