    Bonkers Rough Rider

Posted by DS on 31st Jul 2019

This knife made me smile straight out of the box. You've got to hand it to RR - it's a cheerful riot of audacious materials, colours, shapes and textures. It's a substantial knife, both blades just under the magic 3 inches and appearing capable of at least moderate use. Beautifully worked bone handles - how do they do this for the money?

Fit and finish are good on my example - it goes to show (yet again) that if you get a good RR, you get a belter of a knife.

Spectacularly good personal service from HH as usual.

    Excellent value for money

Posted by Lucas T on 6th Jan 2019

I bought this knife because I like carrying old fashioned folders.
The solid copper bolsters and liners really make it look quite lovely, so I though for less than £20 it was worth a shot.
It arrived less than 24 hours after order, which is fantastic.
The knife is reassuringly solid, and has very strong backsprings while still being easy to open.
The blades came very sharp and nice and straight, which in my experience is not always guaranteed with knives at this price point.
There is one 'bald spot' in the acid wash on the back of the clip blade, but it adds to the old, worn look the knife exudes.
The bone handles meet the bolsters very well, and the pins sit nice and flat, so no sore spots.
To say it is a good knife 'for the money', would be a little unfair, as it is an excellent knife at almost any price point, being nicer than a few knives I have that I paid a lot more for.

All in all, probably my favourite carrying knife, that punches a fair way above it's weight. At this price, I'm not to concerned about losing it either, which is always a plus!
