"RYO" in Japanese means "good" although this seems like rather an under-statement as far as this design from Rockstead is concerned.
The Higonokami style ZDP189 blade is finished with a convex grind and as with all Rockstead knives the quality of steel is like no other, providing un-paralleled edge retention that will only need sharpening under exceptional circumstances. The stunning mirror-polished blade is locked using a smooth button lock feature.
The most unusual feature of the Rockstead Ryo H ZDP Blue, however, is the concealed pocket clip. This retractable clip sits smoothly along the back of the DLC coated titanium handle scales eliminating the uncomfortable feeling that you get with a standard bolt on pocket clip. There is also a discreet lanyard hole tucked almost invisibly into the handle providing functionality without detracting from the aesthetics of the waved handle design.
