These Real Steel Heinnie® collaborations celebrate Heinnie Haynes' 25th birthday. There are four to collect, each one named after the location of the business at different periods in the Heinnie® story!

They are all UK legal carry, having a non-locking blade under three inches long. Simple in design yet highly effective in use they will be equally at home in a tough working environment sitting in your pocket or on your wall in a frame!

The Real Steel Windmill is all about growth and multi-function. It was a time when Heinnie® moved to the Windmill Industrial Estate in Barry, near Cardiff, opened a showroom and expanded to sell flashlights, bags, clothing, watches etc. etc. It is an exciting knife to reflect exciting times.

It features the endlessly functional Sheepsfoot blade and a tough pair of scissors and, like the others knives in the series, features the Heinnie® 'H' cut out of the handle and engraved onto the blade. Each one has it's own individual number (sorry you can't choose which number you have!) and has a pocket clip and lanyard hole to accessorise as you wish.

    Windmill folding knife

Very good utility knife - the blade seems to keep edge and is resistant to chips so far so fingers crossed -scissors nice design uses a cam rather than spring

Handy Tool, great sharpness out of the box

Posted by Philip Hunton on 8th Apr 2024

A really nice tool that's proven to be very handy for me. It's nicely made and unlike other reviewers mine is holding up very nicely. For me a good value every dy tool that's being used.

    REAL STEEL HEINNIE® WINDMILL

Posted by William Smith on 18th Dec 2023

Nice little everyday knife. Sharp out of box Positive action for both blade and scissors. Effective clip will guard against loss. Easy to open ( I am a chronic nail- biter makes using the nail groove thing difficult- the design means that there is a good area of blade to use for opening you don’t need a nail groove)

    REAL STEEL HEINNIE® WINDMILL

Posted by Clive on 6th Nov 2023

Great little knife. Legal carry in the UK so a non-locking blade but the retaining spring is strong enough that it's very safe. Arrived extremely sharp. Scissors are also excellent, sharp and very useful.

A great idea, and a good price, but too many problems

Posted by ToNka on 1st Sep 2023

The backspring broke on mine too, and after very little use. This is a shame because this is a great idea, and would have bene a very practical tool. I nearly didn't review it, as I want Hennie to do more like this,- just without the snapping. Although the other big problem is something I hate, that Gerber also like to do too, and that is scissors that don't open out to let you sharpen them - why do they exist? SAK scissors have been about forever, and are just about perfect, and easy to sharpen. I have no idea how I'd go about sharpening these. At least the scissors start out sharp, unlike on my Gerber (purchased elsewhere). If Real Steel can sort out those backsprings, and tweak the scissors so they can be sharpened, I'd be recommending the pants off these.

    Great quality blade and scissors

Posted by Pietro Motta on 5th May 2023

I stupidly sharpened the scissors on my SOG Snippet and ruined them so needed a replacement. After looking around and seeing that the Snippet was out of stock & Leatherman no longer make the Micra I was not sure what to do so I called and was recommended the Real Steel Heinnie Windmill. It is awesome, really well made and a absolute bargain 5 Stars

    Windmill has flaws

Posted by Trevor Watson on 27th Apr 2023

Nice price and concept, blade and scissors, the most important EDC tools in my opinion but has a serious flaw. The back spring on mine snapped off after a few weeks of very light use. I see that others have had this issue too. Wouldn’t recommend. Possibly the Atlas version is better?

    Windy Miller

Posted by Sage on 17th Apr 2023

The HH Windmill is a very well executed EDC for the masses... It arrived razor sharp and is very easy to sharpen, the scissors are proportional and actually work. Last but far from least its UK friendly, this knife is now my go to EDC and I am very attached to it...

    Lightweight affordable legal pocket knife

Posted by David stansfield on 14th Nov 2022

Brought this as a general daily use knife as it so far hasn’t let me down, still fairly new so haven’t put it to much use but so far it’s sliced through my salami with ease. Cut through cordage and plastic packaging. This scissors are a good size and comfortable to use.
