The Prandi Camping Hatchet is a great size for wood splitting and chopping and features a carbon steel C45/1045 blade with a Hickory handle. It is supplied with a leather sheath and lanyard.

Add to BasketI've only had the Prandi hatchet for a couple of weeks but in this time, it's joined me for 5-6 days of tree care/logging jobs and the edge has only just reached the point where it needs sharpening. The weight is good, very well balanced and the overall weight-to-length ratio is suitable for all hatchet-sized work, even some heavier chopping that I'd say this isn't really meant for. I've a new favourite work tool and look forward to using it when camping too.
So purchased the hatchet from HH great service as usual out of the box it was sharp but not razor sharp so I sharpened it up to a really good edge I also lightly sanded the hickory shaft because it was very slightly rough in places then treated it so that took me about half hour to get it how I wanted it to be it chops great bearing in mind it is only 500 G so for chopping large wood you would need a heaver axe but I recommend this one for making a camping fire or chopping wood up in your back garden for a fire pit ect.
Product looks and feels great and arrived the next day, cant ask for any more than that.
