In 2002 Randall's Adventure & Training (RAT) entered into an exclusive collaboration with Ontario Knife Co in Franklinville, New York to supply a proven set of outdoor knife designs. Ontario is one of the oldest and largest cutlery industries in existence, supplying issue knives to the U.S. military as well as a large civilian market.
The Ontario / RAT knife line bridges the gap between economy, toughness, and real- world features. These knives are designed in the field and built to be used in the field.
This version of the RAT Model 1 features carbon fibre handle scales, a 4-way clip position, heavy- duty open post construction, razor-sharp D2 carbon steel blade, full flat grind, reversible thumb stud, precision pivot screw, lanyard hole and ergonomic handles.
