Description

The Nitecore TIP 3 MCT is the latest version of their most popular keyring torch. Now featuring Multiple Colour Temperature outputs, with a maximum output of 720 lumens and powered by 650mAh built-in battery, which is charged via the USB-C port. Available in three stylish colours; Alloy Orange, Cobalt Blue and Classic Black.

The Nitecore TIP3 MCT features 8 Core Colour Temperature MCT UHE LEDs with multiple colour temperatures and high luminous efficiency:

  • 3000K Warm Light
  • 4500K Neutral White Light
  • 6500K Cool White Light

These colour temperatures along with being compact, portable and effortless to carry make the torch highly versatile, ideal for a wide range of outdoor activities such as night time walking, various daily activities like dog walking, reading and emergency backup.

A dual button interface allows for easy operation with separate power and mode buttons. Electronic Lockout and Mechanical Lockout (using the supplied clip). Direct access to Turbo and Ultra-low from off.

The TIP 3 includes a removable clip that can attach to a pocket or cap brim, turning the light into a head torch for hands free use.

The Nitecore TIP 3 MCT light offers five brightness levels, ranging from 1 to 720 lumens and a maximum run time of 160 hours and a range of up to 92 meters:

Brightness Levels, Runtimes and Range:

  • Turbo: 720 lumens, 92m beam distance
  • High: 220 lumens, 1hr 45min runtime, 57m beam distance
  • Mid: 65 lumens, 6hr runtime, 32m beam distance
  • Low: 15 lumens, 16hr runtime, 14m beam distance
  • Ultralow: 1 lumen, 160hr runtime, 6m beam distance

Advanced temperature regulation (ATR) regulates the output of the TIP3 according to the working and ambient temperature to maintain optimal performance while preventing the LED from overheating. The outputs are measured in total of runtime, including output at reduced levels due to temperature or protection mechanisms in the design, causing the brightness level to drop down.

Maximum beam distance 92 meters, waterproof to IP54 and resistant to impacts up to 2 meters. Small yet powerful measuring just 62mm long.

Nitecore TIP3 Includes: TIP3, Key Clasp and USB-C Charging Cable and Removable Clip

    Nitecore T3

Posted by Great piece of kit on 17th Mar 2026

I have been looking for a small flashlight as part of my outdoor kit for a while. This does the job perfectly, light weight, robust, rechargeable and relatively straight forward to use. Has currently been commandeered by my lad for a trip to the Lakes and he’s been impressed too. Small and light with a good capability, I recommend

Great powerful torch in a very small hand held package. Two button operation, great lock out once you learn it and haven't charged it yet. Did I say it was cheap? yea its cheap as well

    And I thought

I though my Tiki was best key ring light, 300 compared to double that, sorry little Tiki but your resigned to the work shop keys now. So bright and with two buttons easy to operate.

    Seems a bit complicated!

Posted by Alastair Kenmuir on 19th Feb 2026

It is a good size and looks great on a keychain. Controls seem rather complicated for what is a torch. Its two lockout modes have been unreliable with the torch both turning on in my pocket and not turning off despite me reading the instructions multiple times. Maybe I’m the problem but seems really clumsy!
