    Great Option

The available colours and size means that this can be used with a variety of bags from Maxpedition and other manufacturers. It attaches firmly to the strap and stays in a relatively static position, while offering excellent padding/better weight distribution. I personally use this with a Mystery Ranch 10 L Tote and the larger 2 inch version on the 20 L Mystery Ranch Tote, the shoulder pads do a fantastic job when carrying heavy items and reduce movement of the bag.

does just what it is supposed to

Posted by Sarnt Major on 23rd Nov 2014

Does exactly what it's supposed to do, helps a strap grip onto your shoulder and spread the load weight to help prevent aches. Very well built, typical Maxpedition. Now for the critical aspect: If you use it bandolier style, one has to be careful it doesn't cut into one's neck, especially the velcro securing tabs which are hard-edged. So a 8.5 out of 10. Would I buy another? Yes, without question. Would I recommend one? Most definitely. Not forgetting the superb service and support by Hennie Haynes.
