The Barlow is an extremely popular knife model. It's a compact design featuring two blades; one clip point and one pen both of which are under three inches and non-locking, making the knife UK friendly carry.


The Marbles Barlow has a nice looking Ram Horn handle and nickel silver bolsters. It feels lovely in the hand and will make for a great little pocket, penknife for any eventuality.

    Overall look is good with one slight gap on the showside between liner and spring,Scales are balanced and really good transitions between bolster and only 1 pin can be felt but it's Horn and to be expected.Now the bad stuff,Pen blade binding on the liner but i centred it easily enough with a Hammer tap and the worst part,Lazy Springs with may 2 maybe 3 pull at a push and slight Blade play on both Blades.Still a keeper though and added to my collection,Just wish the Springs were tighter.

    Ram horn

    Knife is good and looks fantastic. The Ram horn gives it a distinctive look and one that will appeal to people who like traditional pock knives. However the downside was the the nail nicks were so low it makes it awkward to open the blades especially the pen blade as it is virtually soaken into the handle and requires a bit of work. It might be this is not the case for all of this design of knife. I was in two minds to return it but this gives it a quirkyness and now I know this I won't be opening multiple times anyway.

    Marble EDC madness

    This is a great little knife for the price. It only got 4 stars as the back spring open lock wasn’t that strong but a light tap with a soft hammer fixed it. Another great EDC for the UK.

    The blades seem fairly solid and pretty sharp out of the box, there's no blade play, the extended bolsters seem well attached and it has a good firm backspring. The rams horn scales are nicely done, the pins are slightly proud but not to the point of annoyance and just seem to add to the rough effect of the scales. There are a few gaps between liners/scales/bolsters, one of the blades is slightly off centre when closed but doesn't rub on the liner, though overall, it's pretty solid, looks nice, will do the job and was a good price. Pretty Good.

    Probably made in the same factory as the Rough Rider knives, but this is genuine ram's horn rather than bone (nicely) jigged to look like exterior ram's horn. Nice enough little Barlow for the price.
