Description

Never underestimate the worth of a penknife in your pocket or the quality to price ratio that Rough Rider provides.

The rough Rider Rams Horn Trapper is a big knife with two substantial blades, one clip point and one pen. Both are non-locking and have a precision slip joint that snaps the blades back into the handle. The rams horn jigged bone handle scales are a nice addition to a very, very nice penknife that will handle the toughest jobs.

    Great Buy

I always fancied pulling the trigger on this Rams Horn Bone model and glad I did . Being a Trapper style it has the slightly longer handle fitted with what I consider to be a good rendition of quality looking Rams horn scales shaped from bone . One side of the scales has the square RR inlay shield fitted neatly , the transitions from scales to bolsters is also fitted with no gaps and feeling smooth with no proud finishing . The bolsters are nickel silver and the body scales are finished with three brass pins giving the knife a classy look . Turning the knife over there are brass liners between the scales and the blades giving a traditional touch to the knife ( which I prefer ) , There are two blades with the main blade being a clip point and on one side is very neatly etched "Rams Horn Bone " . the second blade is a spey type and both blades were very well centered , straight and quite sharp out of the box but I honed them up with a quick strop. There was practically zero gapping between the scales , liners and springs which is always a good sign of a decent knife . The blades had a strong enough pull on them to feel solid enough and a decent snap when opening and closing . The only thing I would have improved on is to give the blades a half stop but not a deal breaker . All in all this is a great EDC knife for general / utility use and still not too big to carry in your pocket . I would deffinitely recomend one .
