The Manly Comrade folding knife is a solid utility blade with premium materials at a staggeringly bargain price. The CPM 154 stainless steel blade promises durability and edge-holding capabilities, critical to a high functioning tool.

The flat-ground blade has a nail groove and features an appealing satin finish. Solid steel liners support G10 handle scales providing a very secure, non-slip grip. A stepped slip joint is used as the opening and closing mechanism, which uses a strong spring to engage the blade in four steps as a way to increase user safety. Features a stainless steel clip (tip-up) for a comfortable carry.

    MANLY COMRADE G10 CPM154

Posted by Stuart Saunders on 5th Jan 2022

This is about a beefy a slip joint as you can buy. Good quality for the price and only drops 1 star as its not as great build quality as other knives but should last and is great for the price.

    Manly folders

Posted by Dave on 6th Nov 2020

I found the manly on their website and requested Hennie to get the patriot folder for me. As usual they were spot on with service and cost. The knives were so good I have at least one of each type of folding knife Hennie have. They are not fast but they are solid and built to last. The blade steel and build quality are comparable to the blue box Benchmades I have in my collection. Buy them now before they realise that they are giving them away at that price.

    Dissapointed

I want to recommend this knife, but can't. The Blade itself is very, very good. This Knife for me falls in a price range where it's not expensive, but you expect a certain amount of quality and ergonomics for your money. The blade meets this price range, and honestly slightly surpasses what you should expect. The fixing that holds the knife in rotation is very poor, if you have it loose enough to be able to freely deploy the blade then the fixing is actually loose and could fall out over time. I wondered if something was causing wear on the blades movement, so I took the knife apart. The knife linling was very poorly finished, and the grease used was horrible stuff. I cleaned everything up, and used some fine sand paper to clean up all the edges as they hadn't been cleaned up during the manufacturing process. There are Bronze Washers, but these were a bit shoddy looking with some rough edges, so sanded these a little until they looked polished. Put everything back together with some decent knife lubricant, and it's much better, but the knife is still way too stiff when the fixings are sufficiently tight. Very disappointed. My advice is to dig in your pocket a little deeper and buy a Spyderco, you will be guaranteed a high level of workmanship.
