If you're new to sharpening this type of handy tool may take a little time to master, yet once you do achieve very sharp edges in a few minutes you'll wonder why you couldn't straight off! It copes with virtually all shapes of edge, not least of all straight ones. It does what it says on the tin and is little money for a sharpener you'll have for decades.
This sharpener is more of a stone really. You have to know what you're doing to use it. Slightest over-use and you will destroy a serrated blade forever. I would stick to ceramic/diamond sharpeners for expensive serrated blades unless you really know the score.
Nice and compact little sharpener, it will put a nice finish on a blade that isn't too bad, but it won't put a razor finish on a really blunt knife, but thats ok, I didn't expect it to. I would recommend it.
Just the ticket when on the move, it fits my Dragonfly Salt2 s/edge perfectly. Great service and delivery as usual.
This is a useful ceramic sharpener somewhere between medium and fine grain. It will improve a dull edge (a bit) in the field, but be warned, colours vary; my green one is a pain to find if dropped in long grass!!
