    Amazing piece of kit

Posted by Country boy on 11th Aug 2019

I ordered this based on the reviews & so glad I did, I've had whetstones/oilstones rubbish compared to this, used it on the kitchen knives can't wait to carve the Sunday joint, got family queuing up for me to sharpen their kit. Thank you Heinnie Haynes/lansky.

    Buy It

Posted by Russ on 2nd Aug 2019

Just taken delivery of this little bargain. As you do with a new toy, have had a go at sharpening the kitchen knives. No effort and it's put a very fine, sharp edge on some very dull blades. Very impressed. HH service is exceptional. Delivered following day.

Best EDC investment I've made in quite some time.

Cheap, far better quality than you can rightly expect and small enough to carry in your bag and not think about it until you need it.

    IT WORKS!

Posted by Cuttingedge on 15th Jan 2017

Bought one a few months ago. Gave a couple of knives a few strokes and thought it was ok for a small sharpener . Then dub it out last week and had a more serious go with it.. Glad I did. GREAT LITTLE TOOL . Took a little more time with a variety of blades and am now well impressed . Re profiled some with the carbide V before honing in the ceramic side. Others straight onto the ceramic V. Works really well. Especially with a couple of curved edge gutting blades. Especially pleased with the edge it brought up on both blades on my EKA Swingblade, where it really put a good edge on the curved gralloching blade which has an odd concave profile . SWingblade owners can forget 'flexible' sharpeners . This works really well. Only criticism is weight . Please make it in tough plastic and reduce the weight. Overall, a great tool to tuck away for sustained knife use away from Homebase..

    Nice bit of kit

Posted by Adrian on 28th Oct 2016

I don't seem to have the knack with sharpening - so when I saw the price on this I watched some youtube vids and bought one. I already had the Gerber fixed rods thumb gizmo but this is even better and the click out diamond rod makes it very easy even for me to improve an edge. Maybe not the best for someone with £100+ knives and the time and knowledge to perfect the art but for someone like me with modest knives and not overly practical this is a very useful bit of kit - perhaps all I'll ever need! As always service from Heinnie was perfect. If only every company took service this seriously!

    Back-up sharpener

Posted by Hullblazer on 22nd Sep 2016

I have a Baladeo EDC that won't sharpen in my Lanksy Sharpening System - the shape of the blade mean sit "rocks" from side to side as you stroke. So I bought this, for that and for EDC. Simple to use, well made and, as long as you follow the instructions and have a little common-sense, safe and effective. Very pleased with this item and with HH service.

Get one. A must have if you got a knife

Posted by Gordon on 4th Aug 2016

Never really looked at this style of sharpening as have a few stones that I normally use . However, this has now taken me to a new level of sharpening. It's very quick at sorting old knives out and removing many of my past mistakes. Literally from blunt to cutting paper in about 20 seconds. Cracking bit of kit.
